i think i'd go with Alexander but i don't really have strong feelings either way.

Gantry

Always been a Jack n' Coke guy...

Shooty

Seems like a weird topic to start if you didn't have strong feelings either way.

Just sayin'

Bebop

haha very true.  i feel like Jack Morris has given me more shitty starts, but Doyle enjoys shitting the bed several days a week as well.

Gantry

Can we all agree the King is pure garbage?

Bebop

Gantry...from the RBI Tigers page,

Gantry might start King, while I'll (Lipitz) strictly go with Alexander, opting to save Morris for some middle relief.

have your thoughts changed in the years since that page was put up, Gantry? or was Lipitz mistaken?

I often liked to start with shitty relievers in straight pitch, get them out of the way early so they can't blow the game for you.  Plus sometimes based on lineups and situation I can bring in Willie Hernandez early, who is by far the hardest pitcher for lefties to hit in straight pitch.  If King is starting and I bring in Willie in the 3rd, I have the stamina to finish the game.

So starting King is just a weird straight pitch thing, nothing to do with skill.  No way in hell I'm starting him in curve...

Bebop

i like it, I've done something similar to that with the Red Sox, starting Schiraldi and Stanley for an inning or so each, keeping them in until they get in trouble, that way it saves a little workload on Clemens, who HAS to give up three home runs a game, minimum.

nomaaa

pitching with boston never not a shit show from my experiences

Congrats Nomaaa.  Dee-Nee's new Sandwich King.

Gantry

Why is that?  Clemens is solid...

nomaaa

It's impossible for your pitching to be worse than my hitting.  IMPOSSIBLE

TempoGL

Clemens for seven, Stanley for two.
