Tom Brunansky is the most clutch hitter on a team not named Boston, Detroit, or California.

You're going down, chainsaw.

I'd put a lot of people in front of Brunansky...Hrbek, Strawberry, Will Clark, Leonard, Chilli

I'd take Hrbek over Brunansky in pretty much any situation

i would agree with vgp as one of the sole participants on this forum who prefer righties...

too bad that kirby is so shitty...  minnesota would be an entirely different team if they had kirby in his prime as opposed to this imposter.
Strange things are afoot at the Circle K

The Murph

I think the mighty Denny Walling is wonderful clutch hitter...........NOT!!!!   Bruno is good, but I believe that in a clutch situation, I would prefer Chilli (Baby Back Ribs) Davis.  When the bases are juiced, he hardly ever gets out, and if he does, it is usually a looooong fly ball or a grounder to deep short allowing at least one run to tag up and score.

Gantry

Good call on Chili Murph...

And good call per usual Joe.  Minnesota is one hitter away from being one of the top teams.  A HOF-esque Puckett would have given them a Murderer's Row at 3-4-5

GDavis

I think i might even put Gaetti over Brunansky...anyone agree with that?

Gantry

I find Bruno to be a couple steps ahead of Gar...  Gaetti grounds out way too much for my tastes, especially in a DP situation.  Bruno is more consistent in my book...

Big Hath

The funny thing about Puckett is that everytime he comes up to bat, I always say to myself that this is the time he will break out of his eternal slump.  He's just one at bat from turning it all around, BUT IT NEVER HAPPENS!!!

I would take Hrbeck over Bruno in any clutch situation.  The problem with having Bruno up and guys in scoring position is (at least in curve pitch) you can pitch around him to face Gagne or whatever crappy Minnesota bench player is subbing for him.  They have the worst bench in the game, without a doubt.  I would rather have Houston's bench, at least Lopes is fast.
What a horrible night to have a curse.

jcbball86

I think SF has the worst bench.  none of the guys can hit well and none of them are reliable (i know that there are some spilman fans out there, but i have never gotten more than 1 hit per game with that guy).  houston has lopes and garner who are ok, minnesota has bush whos pretty good and st louis has lindeman whos got some power, but SF has aldrete whos MAYBE good for a hit and speier is not too likely.  i sub one of them for thompson anyway.
