We here in Bloomington Indiana have discovered what could possibly be the hardest task on the planet.... Keep a scorebook during a game of RBI.  Without holding up the pace of the game of course.  Ive tried during two games now and its fucking impossible to keep up.  Id really like to see if a Major League score keeper could keep up during our games.  We play curve and its down right fuckin impossible.  Has anyone else ever tried this shit.  if not youneed to....

Gantry

Do you know how to do standard baseball scoring?  I've never done it myself...

17 under on Golf?  That's fucking impressive!!

This is actually my field of expertise namely because this is what I do for fox sports at giants & a's games.  In my opinion scoreing an RBI would be a lot easier than let's say a national league game.  The only difficult thing to do in RBI would be those goddamn rundowns where the defense throws the ball around constantly.  That's more annoying than anything.  In a national league game, things like double switches, numerous pitching changes and fielding changes, changes in the batting lineup, pinch hitters, are tough to keep track of.  PLus your dealing with 50 players instead 34 in RBI.    Also, there's no catcher's interfernce in RBI, no strikeout/wild pitch senerios, no player/manager ejections, no fan interference, no ground rule doubles, no injuries.  Real life baseball has SO many more random things that can occur during a game.  This makes things much more difficult.  RBI, will just have more stats, but that would be very easy to keep track of.

Do you realize that an MLB game takes 2 to 4 hours and an RBI game takes 13 mintues.  The hardest part of RBI scorekeeping would be keeping up.  I did say without slowing the pace of the game.

True the RBI game is at a faster pace but it is a lot more straight forward which makes a huge difference.  Most of the RBi games can be predicted as far as when to use certain pitch hitters, pitchers ect.  All teams already have automatic substition players that a scorer can bank on.  In real life there is so much unpredicability.  The faster pace would present a challenge but the scoring would always be a lot more straight forward.  It would be tough but it could be done.  I think it would be a blast to score a championship RBI tournament game, while killing a twelve pack.

That is a dandy of an idea.  The next Championship challenge here is getting scored while drinking some Budweisers.

LOL,

The "beer helmet" must be in effect because you'll need your hands free to do the scoring.  I've always wanted a better reason to wear that helmet with a beer on each side of it other than to et wasted and act like a jackass.
