it should be in the midwest. If not the tourney, just an annual gathering. And since Gantry started this whole mess, he should be honored on his home turf. It needs to be in a big fun city. There are too many deeneer's around here for it not to be in chicago!!

My wife heard me laughing at a post this morning (fnkmclane's post about the phone call from malnuboy) and asked me what was so funny, so I explained the whole deal with the Columbus tourney (since I knew I couldn't go, I didn't even bother to mention it to her before).  I found out from her that a coworker of hers that I played city league basketball with is in Columbus this weekend to visit some family - if I were able to go, I'd have had a ride there.

I didn't enter into any negotiations about attending next year's COTUT... I still don't think it's likely, but I may see if I can swing it next summer.  I have an uncle in the Milwaukee area, so perhaps if we can correctly time a trip to visit him, I could drive down to Chicago for the tournament.
