Many months ago I made AL and NL 1993 roms, which I can post on request (they have a few flaws in the I need to fix I think).

Now I've finally finished that season and made a "mixed" rom with the remaining 8 teams, an all star team, and an RBIers team, full of RBIers that didn't make their way onto any other teams (I pumped up a few players stats quite a bit, especially Ryan and Clemens)...

Anyway, i'll post it as soon as i remember how to post attachments...

I'm dumb.

I just posted all three of them to my website:

I have both Demy(got em a while back). I kind of forgot about em, but I'll replace 2k5 with them for a while and let you know what i think.
What do you got there, the 4 volt? I did you a favor.

cool...thanks.

A word of warning...i made them to be relatively pitcher friendly...and since i'm using all teams and trying to have a realistic line ups*, the ball doesn't fly off the bat quite as much as normal. Some hitters are terrible, but alot of real hitters are terrible in real life too.

My contact ratings are higher than normal, but that is to reward hitters with good average and OBP, where as HR/AB and SLG more heavily affect power.

*(i.e. teams generally don't have 2 first base men and 4 outfielders in the line up...i did let Oakland have both Neel and McGwire in a line up as the rest of their team is terrible)

Alright I just completed a game where I was San Fran and the cpu was Atlanta.

Your definitly right about being pitcher friendly, I started John Burkett and going into the ninth(yes I took him into the ninth) he was still throwing in the high 70's and had only allowed 1 run on 4 hits, with 12 K's. I shoulda pulled but I wanted to give him a chance at the CG.In the ninth he struck out the 1st batter with a 79 mph fastball, then gave up a single to right. With Justice coming to the plate i should of pulled him but I threw a pitch which wasnt supposed to be a strike but was and Justice put it over the right field wall bringing his team within a run making the score 4-3. I then summunds Beck who let up a double right away but then retired the next two batters for the save.

Offensivly Maddux shut me down for 4 innings, he was throwing 60 mph junk and I was ahead of it the every time. I managed one run on 2 hits thru 4 innings, the run coming from a McGee(I think) inside the park solo homerun. The cpu pulled Maddux before the 5th for what reason I dont know, and brought in Glavine who got thru the 5th easily. I got to Glavine in the 6th scoring three runs including a 2 run shot by Bonds, his only hit of the game. I was essentially shut down for the rest of the game.

Burketts final line: 8 1/3 innings  6 Hits  13 K's  3 ER

as far as the Game goes I definitly prefer the better pitching because it makes the computer better thus allowing the games against the computer to be a bit more. competetive.

RedBarron

i'm playing a game with the cubs. . . . results to follow

RedBarron

Cubs 11   Cards 1

Morgan went 6 innings and gave up a homer to Brian Jordan.

Tewksbury pitched well going 5 innings giving up back to back homers to Grace and Sosa.

Donavan Osborne sucked ass and I scored 9 runs in two innings which included another homer from grace, one from Wilkins and a blast from Dunston.

It was fun playing with the 93 Cubs.  Great ROM, dude.

(Excerpt)
The Oprah Effect

If you are offended by my site, toughen up or fuck off! If you are a PC language or thought nazi, please kindly shove the barrel of a gun deep inside your gullet and pull the trigger until it goes click.

I hate Oprah.  The only people more self-righteous about "helping the poor" and "making a difference" than that rich cunt are the weak-minded blubbering bags of emotions that call themselves her fans.  I've actually heard well-intentioned people seriously praise Oprah for "giving" away cars on her show (as if she paid for them) and other such nonsense.  Apparently her fans are too dense to realize the simple truth that Oprah's shows where she gives away shit to audience members are nothing more than *sophisticated advertising* that works to obscure the true nature of what is occurring...large corporations giving away merchandise for prime fucking advertising and PR props on an international market (none the less a psuedo-liberal feel-good market...sneaking through the back door is something smart companies do in this way).

Praising philanthropy is just a bullshit way to achieve masturbatory cathartic release while exonerating the ruling class and rich of  their crimes against humanity.  I know, I know, I'm just not well enough in touch with my inner douche and am once again being offensive.  Well, if you are offended, read on...

Most of the time "offense" is another example of "Oprah effect" where public discourse is degraded to a cathartic therapy session. Whether something is true, logical and empirical has become secondary to the evaluation of statements based upon their emotional impact. Vacuous shows like Oprah and Dr. Phil (the demon brood Oprah shat out upon the world, a horror for which alone she shall never be forgiven) thrive on this emotional tripping.  The formula is simple: create guilt, give bullshit feel-good solution, provide catharsis. Ugh.

Furthermore, we have such a fucked up culture and so many people are walking emotional wrecks that a) they will latch onto anything that is soothing, reassuring, and heartfelt (and defend it against evil negative people like me) and b) they will ignore dissenting views a priori, as the slightest implication that they might be wrong in an idea or belief leads them to feel overly threatened or persecuted, and makes them seek out only to engage in conversations in which they will not be challenged or questioned.

Nice!!!

Yo Demi, your pithing staff for the Expos is messed up. It appears to be the original RBI Mets pitching staff.

It didn't appear to be cut and pasted from a right wing "think" tank

heh, I'm glad that you guys found that amusing. I fucking hate Oprah.

Ok, the Montreal 93 pitching staff should be updated.  Sorry about the oversight.

I'm starting a 1990 AL Rom today, btw.
