From ESPN's interview with Lyle Overbay:

1. Who is the best batting practice pitcher you've had, and for you, what traits are integral to being a great BP pitcher?

Overbay: The best is Al Pedrique, a Class AA and AAA manager. He throws it right down the middle at a good speed consistently. A close second would be both Brad Arnsberg and Bruce Walton, the guys in charge of our pitching staff. Surprisingly, they get me locked in by throwing it where I want them to, which is usually the outside part of the plate. The most important trait in a batting practice pitcher, for me, is giving me enough time in between pitches, so I don't feel rushed. That's key, so if I hit one really far, we can all watch it. But that doesn't happen very often.

somewhere, al pedrique just did the napoleon dynamite style, "yes" to himself.

He did an honorable job managing the DBacks to 100+ losses.

I just wiped my ass then smelled the toilet paper.  What's wrong with me?
