RBI Baseball mentioned in Sports Illustrated today

In the interview with Matt Holliday, he says that the team played RBI Baseball on Nintendo in the clubhouse before games during their big playoff run.   I guess they didn't want to let the Indians have all the fun.

RBI's been in the news as a staple of MLB clubhouses several times recently... perhaps Beales needs to arrange for a celebrity host for this year's COTUT.  Even better, someone should arrange a Madden Bowl-style tournament at the All-Star game.

I've seen RBI Baseball on a skit off the show SESAME STREET. How weird is that? Two hispanic boy brothers were shown playing it, I'm serious.

i also saw the wil smith playing RBI in a still photograph featured as part of his "e! true hollywood story".  he was the "fresh prince" at the time...

I'm guessing around the mid/late 1980's. I think I still acutally have a clip of that on tape, I should check & see.

And it was a different version too, the player names were different, you can see in one shot.
