If you can master the Vince Coleman drag bunt, you will win many games.  >:D

i believe i have the technique to bunt down the 3rd base line.  i assume that is the drag you speak of.

but when i think of drag other than dudes dressed like chicks, im thinking you mean pulling it towards 1st which doesnt make sense.

go to bed its frickin late.

Please clear this pulling muff and drag shows thing for TBT. I have found it very difficult to pull the ball with any lefty in RBI. The bat angle is all fucked up in RBI to drag a good one coming from the lefty side. If Jaetus 420 is telling the truth, then the Empire demands a detailed response. How in the fuck do it. Dragging a quality one from the left side? I can shut down any speed game. Nobody runs on my catcher. The double bounce from my catcher will throw anyone out when the pitch is mid 90's and up on the pitch. Raines too.

alright dorkside.....bunting 101 with TBT.  the best way to push a bunt down to the 3rd baseman, and thuis get a single is this way.  have coleman crowd the plate.  when the pitch comes in, you get in bunt formation, and then bail out away from the plate.  more often then not its bunted down the 3rd base line.

to pull the ball while buntin, you need to do the opposite, and as the pitch is throw then slide in toweards the plate.  these dont work 100% of the time.  probably due to a few factors such as to where the pitch is throw and such, but they work for me a good deal of the time.

to further clarify one more thing.   again if by dragging, he means pulling it to 1st base, then i dont see that working out so well.  as soon as the 1st baseman fields it, and you hit B, he runs faster than coleman to the bag.

armadillo poop is in the house yall...and the yard too.

I prefer to just slap the ball between 3b and ss when batting with Coleman.  I feel like I can control ball location better/more often that way.

i dont care much for indepth bunt discussion in general.  most times vs a human opponent, if a bunt is used its to move a runner over to 2nd or 3rd.  not to say you cant use it to try and get coleman on base, but id rather be swinging away.

i just wanna get the bat on the ball when bunting and move the runner over.  not really trying to push or pull it a specific way.

I agree...I almost exclusively use the bunt just for advancing the runner from 2nd to 3rd...so therefore, it's rarely a drag bunt.

No shit sherlock. Like I don't know all that. I was asking what the fuck dude was talking about dragging with Coleman. It is just stupid instead of pushing it towards the left side of the infield.

Yeah that's what I try to do as well. With Coleman if nobody is on base I'll just try to slap the ball to short or third. If there's a runner on third I just try to make contact. Unless you're playing straight pitch bunting can be hard sometimes. It's not a "guarantee" anyways.

Neither do I really. We usually suck at most sports. Football we're "okay" at. Wrestling used to be our dominant sport but it seems lately Oklahoma and Iowa State beat us more than in years past.

broiler

Broilers drag bunting 101

when drag bunting, I put the bat out for a bunt, then swing away with a half swing once the pitch is near.  I will give up this strategy because coleman is a boner

Darky

I just swing it with Coleman. I may try and go the other way, but he really wants to hit. And when I give Coleman the green light to swing away, he can get some regular basehits and gappers.
