t

who are the players you fear most?

hitters:

reggie jackson
darrell evans
ruppert jones
bill madlock (bban destroys me with this guy)
mike heath (professional hitter / good for a pinch hit homerun when you fear it most)

pitchers (non-straight pitch):

doyle alexander (nasty when he can throw hard, and the best hitting pitcher hands down)
mike witt (bban's weapon / nasty stuff)
doctor k (sometimes unhittable)
bert blyleven
mike krukow

"is that fake blood?" "why yes it is."

first off t....dr k should be renamed special k.......that team has more drug and emotional problems than you could shake a stick at....we should just rename them the "Cartels" or possibly "The Corleones"

anyways....i think that the most feared players out there have to be

Potatoes
Darell Evans
Dave Henderson (this guy can hit)
Harry Spillman
Rupert Jones (not only for his bat, also for his name)
Mad Dog
a little known and used Tom Brunanksy...doesnt get much playing time, but the most feared hitter in that lineup
God Brookens

Pitchers

Doyle "Professor Plumb" Alexander
Doc Gooden
The Ryan Express
Saberhagen
Mike Witt...i dont know why, i just do well with this guy

bban

ps...t...great to see you on here
A couple of jesters? In the court of the king! IS THAT WHAT YOU'RE TELLING ME?!?!?!?

t has arrived....

This was similar to the other topic, but my most feared hitters are

1) Darrell Evans - Lips has reached Potatoes level with him.  So many homers...

2) Wade Boggs - I don't understand this guy, he crushes me!  At least Potsie felt a bit of the wrath last night...

3) Tom Brookens - He's on fire lately and his at-bat is always crucial because it dictates the tempo of the following inning.  If he hits a 2-out homer, it's a crushing blow...

The pitchers:

1) Willie Hernandez - Very difficult to hit and is always brought in when I have my lefty studs up...

2) Scott Garrelts - Don't play with him much anymore, but that 9th inning fastball is a bitch to hit...

Now these are my most feared to play against - no cali guys because I don't play agains them that much, espeically lately...

1.  gibby
2.  trammell
3.  the rest of the dt. lineup

as for pitchers..

1.  clemens... i guess you guys dont know what you are missing cause he is hands down the best in the game!

ryan is good,  crack head gooden is next and then tudor... the rest are slop tossers at best.

i dont think i am going to use him as a closer anymore...  i think calvin has stepped it up to earn the job back so clemens can go back to being a starter.  bruce hurst,  now that guy is in the dog house.

Joe I'm glad to hear that clemens is back as a starter, can I get that in writing. It always put pressure on me to score runs early, cause I knew that it would be tough once Clemens came in.

like i said, i have renewed confidence in calvin  he has been nails lately...
i am sick of getting down early with bruce hurst... your lefties have been wrapping too many shots around the foul pole off of him.

we will see how cal does but i am sure he will get the job done after clemens goes a good 7 plus.
