So the brewery I have a partial ownership just got a pandora 4 which has baseball stars. My buddy who I come with appears to be better than me at baseball stars, though known him in RBI. I know that the american dreams are the best team, and that fabulous superstars are also good. But is there a ranking of teams from best to worst? Also can someone let me know about any pitchers that do that nasty drop ball that hits the plate?  The music is always loud at the brewery so he won't be able to see it coming. Any other tips are greatly appreciated

Are you doing custom teams at all?  That's the way to go, build up your team the way you like.  Lovely Ladies always pay well, best to play games against them...

Wait, you have partial ownership of a brewery?

BeefMaster

The ninja team has a lot of speed.  Lovely Ladies are not good but pay out a lot of money when you play them, like Gantry said, and he is also right that custom teams are the most fun.  I don't recall how good the other teams are other than the American Dreams hit the ball a TON.

This is on an arcade machine and I don't think you can create a custom team. I am looking for actual game play tips. Yes I own a small part of a brewery that's been open for a couple years. Its got a lot of momentum right now and it's pretty cool to be a part of it, even though it's a super small part

Use the fast team (ninjas?) and put the ball in play or bunt to the left side

Is this the arcade (Neo Geo) version or the NES version?

Gantry

Never played the arcade version enough to really know what the strategy is there.

Me neither

Also, how is it possible to not be sure if a game is on Neo Geo or NES?  It's not like the systems are technologically close

its an arcade machine with like 1000 games programmed into it, most of them totally random that i've never heard of, though it does have king of the monsters which i know is a neo geo game, so assume its neo geo.  look strassy, the game is alot like how i remember it on the nes, so "technologically" i'd say its pretty damn close.  thanks for chiming in though, dickweed

You're welcome.

But anyways, the smallest Neo Geo games are about eight times (in terms of size of the ROM/program) the size of the largest NES game, Kirby's Adventure.  The biggest ones are about thirty times as large.  And Kirby's Adventure is fifteen sizes larger than original Super Mario brothers.  So we are talking orders of magnitude here and they are really not at all close.  Plus the two versions look drastically different (as do all Neo Geo games when compared to NES games).  I could see someone's grandpa having trouble telling the difference, but I think if you saw them side by side, you'd know what I was talking about.

Looks like there was a Baseball Stars Professional and Baseball Stars 2 for the Neo Geo, here are the player ratings for the more common one, Baseball Stars Professional:

Japan Robins look like a really solid hitting team with a NASTY pitcher named Sawamura - looks like the best pitcher in the game.  Brave Warriors look pretty good as well.  Here's some game play to tell if this is the one you have:

Thanks Gantry, it's definitely baseball stars professional for neo geo. That's gonna come in real handy.

Start rocking Sawamura on the mound, you'll definitely have the pitching advantage.  Good luck

Even on Christmas break, Tempo is taking Broiler to school.

be sure to use pinch hitters whose last names begin with "H"

word on the street is that they are better in clutch situations.

For what it's worth, I hit a pitcher home run with Michael from the Heavenly Bodies. Not sure how rare it is, but was pretty sweet

Ive stopped playing this at the brewery. I just don't like the feel of the gameplay. I've been sticking to games like final fight, the simpsons, and double dragon.
