No Pitcher Glictch

Today I popped in my RBI and was about to start the game when I realized the sound was way too loud...just as it switched to show the first AB I hit pause..turned it down and thought I'd try for the mini pitcher glitch

What I got was no pitcher or ball. He pitches but he's not anywhere on the screen and you never see a ball. I let him walk multiple batters thinking maybe he would appear but he never does. It's quite odd....maybe this has already been expierenced but it was the first time I had seen it.

I think the theory is that the pitcher somehow ends up behind the catcher when this occurs.

Never seen/heard of a disappearing pitcher like that.  Couple questions to clarify...

1) So you could hear the pitches, but had no visual?

2) Did he ever appear (next inning or later in the game perhaps)?

hmm ic, I got greedy after I let him walk in 22 runs and tried to restart to do it again, tried about 10 times and never got it again...hard to time at the begining of the game like that

yeah, I've seen that happen before, too.  Ultimate is right...the pitcher is somewhere off the screen.  He can pretty much be anywhere when you use the "pitcher off the mound" pause button trick.

And FYI - if you hit "B" with a runner on base (to try a pickoff), the pitcher will come back...

that's what I did actually.....I was gonna let it run past 99 runs just for the heck of it but I ended up trying to steal and then I restarted to try to do the glitch again
