there are also folks complaining about the lack of Bobby Grich, Dwight Evans, and Willie Randolph.

I have a feeling Teddy wants to take Dayley out in the street and shoot him.

And a inside the parker for Sweet Music?  Holy shit.

Not to give advice for free, but this illustrates why it's tricky to put a relief pitcher in a place where the No. 2 starter would normally go. Dayley was clearly shot in the sixth inning after Heath's HR, but I suspect that computer treated him like a starter and assumed he had the same kind of stamina, because the manager would not pull him out even when he was throwing absolute pus up there in the seventh inning.

I shudder to think what the score would have been if Straw would have at least had a decent game.

i played some watchgames to test how the pitcher was treated, and i was counting on being behind earlier so dayley would throw one or two innings and be removed.  it looks like i may have to adjust my strategy for the rotation.  but fighton, your lineup is pretty devestating.  good game.  and geez sorry you had to write up all those runs.

I'm predicting today's game will be the first one not to apply 10-run rule.

Looking back on this game, the inside the park home run by Viola really was the backbreaker. The OC really fell apart after that with errors and poor plays. What could have been a two or three run inning turned into a 12 run inning, and that will kill you every time.
