Basically, with the CPU, pitchers equal triples because they are the ones most likely to hit those slow rollers that just go "under the glove" of the 2B and roll to the RCF corner. Also, the CPU is not aggressive on the base paths most of the time, and is content to hold to a standing double rather than try for three.
