I sold numerous filet-o-fish sandwiches to former Bulls great Dickey Simpkins during my tenure at McDonald's in high school.

That would partially explain his lack of production...

I still never figured out how someone goes by the name "Dickey" - to me it's a no brained to be Rich or Richard.  Even Dick sounds better, how does one choose Dickey given the alternatives?

That's because his given name is LuBara Dixon Simpkins.

I don't think anyone would say that Dickie Thon made a poor choice on his name (or his moustache)
