Jun 9 Astros.MLB.com's Alyson Footer reports Houston Astros closer Billy Wagner recorded his 200th career save on Sunday, June 8, against Tampa Bay and broke the franchise career saves record held by Dave Smith, who pitched for the Astros in the 1980s.

Don't worry DSmith, you'll always be our #1 Houston closer.

Well, maybe #2 behind Charlie Kerfeld.

I'm rather shocked Smith had so many saves, I kind of remember him being good for only a couple seasons.  Then the Cubbies gave him a bunch of money and he sucked...

It's funny you mention that, because Jose Mesa just tied RBIer, Bedrock's Phillies save Record last night at 103.
By the way, Steve Bedrosian didn't pitch sidearm in real life.
