Including All-Stars, I still only start two 2Bs in the game.  Shit, I can make a decent case for swapping out Doran as well...

Good thought, Gantree.  I usually let Doran and Lombardozzi bat (although they both suck--I typically don't see the point in wasting a PH bonus because the alternatives suck, too--so I save the PH bonus for a clutch AB).

Although I also declared Whitaker to be the best, I more often than not sub him out right away.  I usually leave him in while the SP is a lefty, but as soon as a R comes in, he's out.

The rest never see the outside of the dugout for me.

Except on the rare occassion that I strike a deal with Riley.  We grew into the habit of trying to negotiate these guys into the line up.  I often will offer Riley an "A" ball (no movement, no add'l speed, and right down the plate) to the Randolphs of the RBI world.  I'd rather take my changes there than with McGwire and actually pitching to him (esp. with a R pitcher).
