Does anyone else think that RBI players runs slower after they've been hit by a pitch

I just wiped my ass then smelled the toilet paper.  What's wrong with me?

the dude either has some high float or a mess between the cheeks.

The only NES game I ever saw where HBPs made something happen (besides the guy getting on base) was the original Bases Loaded - in that one, if you hit the right guy in the right inning, he'd charge the mound, kick the pitcher in the 'nads, and get ejected.

It maybe unlikely, but I would not think it was likely that they would bump the power of the pinch hitter either.  It could be possible that the drop speed by say 8 after a HBP

The thing is, the PH boost is a one-time calculation - you only have to deal with it while the guy's batting, and it can be discarded once the ball's in play.  A speed drop, on the other hand, would have to be tracked until the guy scored (as many as five more batters), plus there's the possibility that another guy could get hit, and there isn't a place in the RAM where any data like that is put, at least that has been discovered so far.

I see, I guess that makes it very, very unlikely, I'm just trying to rationalize why I got caught stealing after a HBP, couldn't be my fault

RAM offsets (not ROM offsets):

00B3-00B5 = baserunner present on 1B,2B,3B (boolean)
00B6-00B8 = baserunner speed of runner on 1B,2B,3B

I don't think this is likely either, but I'll check it out later when I can.

No such luck. The stored speed of a baserunner is unchanged after being HPB.
