2 nites ago me and my buddy did one of our 7 game series where you have to use a different team each game... do any of you guys ever do this?? its pretty intense and challenging, seeing as how I am not completely familiar with a team like San Fran's bullpen.. I mean i play against them a lot, but rarely use them... Anyway, he no-hit me (curve pitch, obviously) as Cali against Minnesota in game 1.  I dropped game 2 as well, and in a moment of urgency turned to my team--the Cardinals--for game 3.  I played flawlessly and took down the almighty Red Sox.  It turned out to be just the boost I needed, as I took the next 3 for a 4-2 series victory.  I ran Detroit up against his Giants in Game 6, and in extra innings Todd Brookens homered for the series clincher.  Anyway, what ya gotta do is rotate who chooses team first (we did it like home court, 2-2-1-1-1) because it brings strategy into selecting a team.  If he sends the hard hitting Tigers up, do you want to try and counteract with Cards pitching, or basically give that one up and hope for a wild upset with your weakest team? and how long do you wait before you throw your ace squad out there?  It's a fun way to get to know all the teams even better.  And we play no All-Star teams, although that is totally up to you.

That's all the COTUT plays.  No player can be the same team twice in a series.  Although we start with 3 game series, progress to 5 game series, and finally to 7 games series.  No all-star teams allowed.

I don't know how you figure St. Louis counters a team like Boston or Detroit though.

Todd Brookens?
Interesting method.  Me and Chubbs will have to try this one night.

Well St. Lou is my team, and Tudor is (in my humble opinion) the best pitcher in the game.  The Sox didn't get a baserunner in the 6 strong innings he gave me.  Again I am talking about curve-pitch.  I have never played straight-pitch, but can imagine how pathetic the Cards would be in comparison with Boston or Detroit in that style.

John Tudor is the best pitcher in RBI Baseball.  Hands down.  I couldn't agree more.

Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat?  Tudor is good, but I'd place at least three other pitchers before him.

Let's hear about them and why.  But I do realize you play strictly curve.  I play slurve style.

QuoteLet's here about them and why.

Krukow, Reuschel, Witt, and Blylevan for their amazing curve and stamina.  Gooden, Alexander, and Morris round out my list of top pitchers for their speed and decent curve.
