Just clarfying, Fernando Valenzuela played in Mexican Pacific League, which play in winter. Mexican League is the summer league in Mexico. :)

Cheers

JoeDirt

could be...I double checked my source (baseball america) and it is listed as "Mexican League."  In fact, my original post is a cut and paste...

it is so fun pitching with Fernando, he can be impossible to hit if you can get him in the zone

Does anyone know if Fernando is going to pitch in the regular Mexican League?  Otherwise, I'll have to say Mexican Pacific League which just doesn't look right to me...

Rough outing for Nando, but he'll be back...

Joe, what's the link to the site where you are getting his box scores?  Are you posting just the bad outings?  Has he had any decent outings?

Baseball America has a service where they will email you the box scores of select prospects throughout the regular season; in the offseason, they send the box scores of select prospects/players in the winter leagues.

I post all of the Fernando box scores that I get...not just the bad ones.  I wanna see a good outing as much as the next fella.   :-\

...also, the very first post was a quality outting...

Here's that "good" outing that Ultimate was rooting for:

---------------------  Mexican League ---------------------

TM  PITCHERS             IP   H   R  ER  BB   K  HR    ERA

Too bad the "good" outing was still a loss. Three unearned runs? Sounds like too many BOPs. C'mon defense, help Nando out!

there are also folks complaining about the lack of Bobby Grich, Dwight Evans, and Willie Randolph.

JoeDirt

BOPS are random--you know that, man.

Yeah, but he must've been pitching for Detroit.

His fielders were probably trying to throw the ball too quickly.  Oh wait...

Good outing for Fernando, do they ever give a total ERA instead of game-by-game?
