We have discussed RBI snubs before--who got left off teams and why someone was included or excluded.

i have been thinking of coming up with the definitive answer to all these questions through researching the controversial selections and writing an essay to answer all these questions.

i am aware that there are several threads dedicated to this phenomenon and i believe it is possible that we could have the answer within a few weeks.

what i am the most interested in is creating theories that explain the reasons for the rbi selections and backing these with statistical and historical as well as other evidence.

my question is, do you think this is a worthwile endeavor or is it not important enough to undertake for a month-long project?  my hopes would be to include this report as some sort of permanent contribution to dee-nee.com and of course, the database.

Listing who is a good project, like questionable PLAYER A, possbile replacement(s)

but theories as to why, probably impossible maybe useless, however could be fun if you have free time.

Pedrique, Burks, Owen, Sullivan, Schroeder  I'm sure there are plenty others

Snubs (all-stars): Rickey, Yount

I said it once and I'll say it again - stock is smart

Also Hubie Brooks, per Gantry's FAQ - Brooks was the backup SS on the 1987 All-Star team, behind Ozzie (who presumably wasn't included because he was already on the Cards).

I was looking around the various rbi teams on baseball reference and came across this line on Burleson's ad.

"the ultimate number 7"

I think Ult might be Rick Burleson incognito.

there are also folks complaining about the lack of Bobby Grich, Dwight Evans, and Willie Randolph.
