Figured I'd start a new thread about things that need to be done on the server for today.  Here is the tentative list:

1) Upgrade forums to SMF 1.1 RC2
2) Upgrade RBIdb to Mediwiki 1.5.x branch
3) Get clyon access to the site again for RBI 2006
4) Upgrade php to fix new security flaws
5) Add Mediawiki spam modules

Nightwulf - you have time to work on tonight?  I'd likely leave SMF up to you while I upgrade the wiki software on RBIdb. 

PS - The mem=384M line worked like a charm, thanks!  Hopefully the OOM errors will stop...

The only thing I've done so far is fix the stupid memory issue.  The forum upgrade would take place at 11pm tonight, as it makes database changes that could keep things down for an hour.  Once the forums are back up, I would update php and the RBIdb...

The best new goodie that I've seen is edit-in-place. I'm sure there's others, but I haven't toyed with the software myself yet. Still a good idea to upgrade, as there's always security closures.

You think 11pm is good to take the forums down? I was thinking more like 2am or so. Ideally would be 4 or 5am, but I can't do that shit tonight.

I think I'm going to upgrade php from 4.3.11 to 4.4.2 right now.  Hopefully the forums won't crash and burn during this...

From the release post:

Some of the other notable changes in this release are:

Nightwulf, we should probably make a list of features that we hand-edited in to make sure we keep a copy and adjust the proper source. 

* Chat button
* Bolded topics in the thread view
* Attachment 800x600 resizing
* Replace the default SMF logo with the Dee-Nee logo

Am I missing anything else?

if for some reason something goes wrong and this spells the end of dee-nee, then i will sorely miss you guys.

I think I'm going to push the upgrade back to midnight, as there is quite a bit of activity on the forums.  Plus I haven't seen much of nightwulf and I'm hoping he'll be around to keep an eye on things in case the conversion takes hours...

Back to watching Newsradio. Picked up the season 1&2 DVD for 17 bucks! Back in an hour ...

Added....  I'm goign to leave the SMF upgrade to you, as upgrade.php will apparently do a statusbar for the long coversion process.  I don't think I'm goign to make it past 1-1:30am or so tonight to keep track...

Going to backup all the databases now, see ya at midnight.  I'll join chat at 11:45 or so.  When the clock strikes midnight, forums and RBIdb will go DOWN...

PS - You probably saw, but there is a post-RC2 upgrade as well.  Looks like the proper procedure it to upgrade.php to RC2 and use the update manager in admin to do RC2-1
