Talking about Japanese and Korean fans at the WBC:

"None of the dry cleaners were open, they were all at the game, Japan and Korea," he said. "So we couldn't get any dry cleaning done out there, but I guess the neatest thing is that 50,000 of them were at Anaheim Stadium."

He forgot to mention that it was much safer driving to the game without all those Asians on the roads.

What's insensitive or controversial about acknowledging a predominating fact?  Especially one that isn't necessarily negative.

Nice Rocker reference, by the way.

Mr. Blubbo

I agree Octo.  Stereotypes are there for a reason and most of them are are true.  Not all stereotypes are true for all types of people that it is directed towards, but at the same time lets be honest here, the stereotypes didn't evolve because people made them up out of the blue.

Were the fans good at mass manufacturing toys with small parts?

BeeJay

Are that many dry cleaners owned and operated by Asians?  I've never noticed the trend so I've never understood the stereotype.
"Thank you Mr. Toilet Bowl..thank you for being cool on the side...you're the only one that understands me."

Attezz

I'd say the ratio between dry cleaners being owned by asians and nail salons being owned by asians is 1:1 if that gives you any idea.

BeeJay

The amount of nail salons I've been to (0) is slightly less than the amount of dry cleaners I've been to (1), so that doesn't really tell me anything.

I'd say the ratio of dry cleaner owners being asian to members of the Chinese parliament being asian is 1:1

Help any?

BDawk

My dry cleaners is operated my Brazilians.

I used to work at an american dry cleaners when in high school.
I only have experience with non-asian dry cleaners

moses

Every nail salon i have been to has been owned by asians. In Ft Bragg, NC the asians owned all the sewing shops. This is where the military could have the patches and buttons sewn on.

Ummm, yes.  I would say over 90% of dry cleaners are owned by Asians and over 90% of Dunkin Donuts/Quicky Marts (I know wrong spelling) are owned by Indians.  It is just a fact of life.
