Side note again: how good is C foster, he looked to sqeek out a few wins and finish high in both tourneys, but Mriley, beales and dirt and mccormick seem to be the loud mouths here, who are the favorites the way the bracket is set up? and do the nobodies/randoms ever go far?

Foster is certainly one of the favoites with Riley, Dirt, and Beales

the tourney was rigged randomly set up, and foster and dirt are both in the top half and beales and riley are in the bottom half.  foster/dirt and beales/riley could all be facing each other in round 3. 

Beales has played Foster recently, and beat him 3-1 and then 3-0 in cotut style.

I get foster in round 1.  I also get Dirt and Riley for a ton of games friday night in our room.  teacher and student will face off.

Foster has a crazy record overal in the cotut, but one year he competed in the 32 man tourney which was prolly watered down with chuckers.  im glad beales has taken it to him recently, but i wont be overconfident that he wont be able to bring it.

oh, and im also kidding about it being rigged.  it was broadcast live on the net if anyone wanted to watch.

I would say that you can expect at least 3 of the 4 to place, if not all.  dirt, riley, beales, and foster.

As  for the chuckers and unknowns.  im not trying to take away anything from the unknown players, but the talent is spread nicely so they will not have an easy road.  this im sure of.

also sounds like gantry will be by saturday afternoon 3ish/4ish.  Joe dirt and i will be done for the day by then.  and hopefully theres that party at gantry's house saturdaynight.  booya!

there should be plenty of folks around to game with.  i know we get in half ass late in the day and then we gotta bolt and get joe, so our schedules are kinda funky but maybe we can oblige.  

i dont know if were going out for dinner after we get joe either, so i dont have concrete details on our plans after that.

also contact beales, and have him maybe give you the skinny on when everyones arriving.  that will prolly help you line up some play that way as well.  im guessing that there will be at least 5 or 6 rooms with folks who also will be looking for some serious practice on friday night.

i had 2 other guys from here drop out.   so my plans went to hell recently, and i had to scramble to line up new ones.

i cant speak for them(joe/mike) and what they want to do.  i do know that some guys are all funny and shit and dont want people to get a look at thier game before hand.  others dont care.

one guy refused to practice with beales recently cause beales was also in the tourney.  this guy was the 1st or 2nd seed, and beales is 16th meaning they couldnt meet until sometime sunday.  this i didnt understand, cause there was a large seperation in time and its not like you'd be tipping off your game just hours before meeting.  also i doubt beales would really remember that much of it, but i guess its possible for him to remember some glaring weakness'es.  however if you have glaring weaknesses, then you wont do well, simple as that.

i guess id rather not face foster repeatedly on friday night, cause i dont want him to see my game and tendancies, in hopes that its completely different than what he's used to.

sometimes i wont swing at a pitch through the first 2 batters, then swing away when the power gets to the plate and your opponent thinks all you are going to do is take pitches.  

am i lying about this, maybe in the cotut, No.
