RBI Baseball tournament in Des Planes, IL

Did a search for RBI Baseball tournament on Google and found this link: RBI Baseball Tournament

Apparently there's been 4 so far, all held in Illinois. They seem to be getting bigger every year. The next tournament isn't for another year and a half though. June 28th-29th of 2008. Just thought I'd pass it along if anybody was interested. I live in Iowa so Des Planes, IL is very very close to me. I may end up doing this. It'll be a good excuse to road trip if anything.

Players, Dates, Fees, & Prizes
     This will be a 16 man, double elimination series tournament that will occur over a two day period from Saturday June 28th to Sunday June 29th, 2008.  The entry fee will be $100.00.  All entry fee money will be redistributed as prize money.  Therefore, no profits will be made by myself or anybody else involved in organizing the tournament. The prize money will be as follows:

   
Prize Money
1st Place - $800.00

2nd Place - $400.00
   
3rd Place - $250.00

4th Place - $150.00

Honestly, this is one of the few very big COTUT threads I found... there wasn't as much discussion as there was about the Ohio tournament last year (one of the regulars in the COTUT started his own tournament last year that I believe he plans to have every COTUT off-year).

i think all we're saying, sarc, is that you should maybe stick around and read the boards a little more before posting stuff.  go through some of the old threads here and do a search on this site for things of interest to you.  it should be more accurate and helpful than an internet search.  there's a lot of good info here and great threads to get to know before you rehash things that have been talked about for years.

Yeah I'm from Iowa City. Nobody around here roots for the cyclones [Iowa State]. Hey what can I say, I didn't look extremely hard for some of the topics I created, but when you search the first 3 pages or so and don't see the topic what am I supposed to think? I'm just being pissy, looks like my B-Day doesn't actually fall on a weekend next year, I don't want any dates set for me because even under the most ideal circumstances I'd probably be 60% to make it at best.

Even when you're 100% sure, it doesn't mean you'll really go anyway.  Ask Dark Side if 60% is enough to make a verbal/typed lock on it
