I too agree that Ryno's avatar reminds me of Jody Davis...kinda odd. Maybe it's because I used to have 4999 cards of him in that bright blue jersey.

For all those interested, Wrigley Field has a capacity of 41,118 and was built in 1914.

The Baseball Hall of Fame has 37 members who at one time played for the Cubs. Of those 37, 13 played the majority of their games with the Cubs.

Another interesting Cubs fact....in 1935 Augie Galan had 646 at bats and never grounded into a double play. That's the Cubs single season record. The record for most GIDP is held by Ron Santo with 27 in 1973.

Billy Williams holds 6 major single season batting records for a Cubs left-handed hitter, including hits (205), HR(42), RBI(129), extra base hits (80), total bases (373), and slugging % (.606)

In 1984 Rick Sutcliffe sets a Cubs single season record for winning % with at least 10 decisions by going 16-1. He also won 14 consecutive games that year, also a Cubs record!!

And FINALLY, the most important thing...this year the Cubs OWN the Reds with a record of 8-4 against the lowly, faggoty, Ken Griffey Jr -having, bad-trade making Reds.

i thought i left you a pm before, but i probably forgot.

thank you so much for all your help. the t is obviousyl the way to go. unfortunately, we didn't know this the last time we were in boston. one of the hotels you suggested had a discount for those visiting bc, so that was great, we got like half off the room price.

i loved boston college. i initially though the location would be lame, but once we got there, it was great. it's just outside the city, it's almost like boston ends and chestnut hill begins. plus, there's a t that puts you right at the bottom of the hill. the campus was fantastic, lots of very old and very new buildings. if they accidentaly think i'm worthy to go there, it's my definate first choice.

plus, everyone in boston was really great. the first time we got on the t, we didn't have any tokens, so one lady just gave us three of hers. plus, another lady (who was "ironically" from pittsburgh and graduated from my sister's college) helped us with changing lines when we had to. once we figured it out, it's relatively simple transit system. the sox game was great, as ortiz hit a grand slam bomb into our section (right above the triangle).

if you had trouble doing boston's transit system don't ever go to nyc.   boston's was fairly simple, even compared to philadelphia and washington, dc in my opinion.

we didn't really have trouble, we just didn't know what to expect.
pittsburgh doesn't really have a subway. they only use it to get from the main city to the suburbs. it's all buses. once we figured out how to pay and the like, it was very easy.
