My friend Octo: I don't think speed should be factored in much more than avoidance of being thrown out at 1B from RF.  The fact of the matter is, even if Coleman can beat out an infield hit, the fielder can go to any of the other bases.

Also, the fact of the matter is that it is better to have Rice up with Baylor on deck than it is to have Baylor up with Evans on deck...that must be accounted for.

The correct answer is still Kirk Gibson.

Look at the situation for god's sake.  First of all it's a rightie pitching, which in RBI (ATG style anyway) means rightie hitters preferred.  Second, it's the 9th inning with two outs, trailing by one -- you just need to get on base!  Why vote for someone who gets thrown out at first by the right fielder, I can't fathom how Reggie is winning this thread.  For shame, Dee-Nee.  For shame.

Incidentally Don Baylor was a no-brainer for me.

I agree with this guy and like the zeal, however Reggie is pretty fast in RBI unlike real baseball.  I steal bases with him all the time.

Wrong, while Reggie is not horribly slow if you are stealing bases with him the people you are playing must really suck

Also, the correct answer to this puhl is Dawson, but for some reason he was left off.

I voted for Baylor, but Burks, Rice, and possibly Trammell and Brunansky would be acceptable to have voted for.  Voting for Lefties is only OK if you assume straight pitch style.

Because All-Star teams don't count.

Congrats Nomaaa.  Dee-Nee's new Sandwich King.

That's nice, but unless PH gets to count for the puhl, I'd still rather have Rice with Baylor to follow.  If there was 0 outs in the scenario, however, I'd probably agree Burks with Armas, Boggs, Rice, Baylor to follow.
