You only got one shot.

Attezz

Gibby.

Because you can't get him out.

Armas the King

This is a trick question.  It depends on how the pitcher is doing.

Briznock

Tired pitcher - Reggie Jackson
Fresh pitcher - Reggie Jackson

GoReds pitching to me - Matt Nokes or Ozzie Smith.

You just watch your mouth, mister

I'm surprised mine is the only vote for Jimmy Rice.  I'm also surprised how easy this was for me to answer.

Reg is ridic but I just don't like lefties against righty pitchers, especially curveball specialists like krukow and blyleven.

Clambutt

I can't believe Dingleberry hasn't received a vote. Sad :'(

I like the way this puhl is going...

Look at the situation for god's sake.  First of all it's a rightie pitching, which in RBI (ATG style anyway) means rightie hitters preferred.  Second, it's the 9th inning with two outs, trailing by one -- you just need to get on base!  Why vote for someone who gets thrown out at first by the right fielder, I can't fathom how Reggie is winning this thread.  For shame, Dee-Nee.  For shame.

Incidentally Don Baylor was a no-brainer for me.

BeefMaster

Jack Clark - he's usually good for me, and going along with what Octo said, if Clark gets a single, it's likely that he can score two with the speedy guys ahead of him.

The only correct answer is Jim Rice.  Also, it should be factored in that Rice bats ahead of Baylor...so if Rice singles in one run, then there's still a nice bat waiting...

Joe, what about speed when you absolutely must must must reach base?  Nomaaa seems to have the right idea.

If you're gonna go for a rightie, you gotta take Baylor over Rice.  I doubt the Puhl creator intended the other team-related hypotheticals to be factored in (such as who the runners on base might be and who would be on deck for that batter, etc.), but even still...

Edit: if it had been a leftie pitcher I would have gone with Strwby.
