TBT 17 Bastardo 16

It was looking good early for TBT as he took a 9-0 after 2, but Blyleven gave up 9 in the 3rd and it was back to even and it looked like business as usual for TBT, but surprise, Tudor and Fernando actually pitched well in relief and TBT was able to take a 17-14 lead to the 9th before Conception hit a solo shot of Fernando and then Kerfeld was able to hold Bastardo to only one more run

Attezz

Words can not describe my run of emotions during that game.

Bonny

Attezz

I was down 15-0 in the third, and Nolan Ryan was pitching incredibly.

Needing a run to continue the misery, I had two outs and a runner on third, and Mel Ott squeezed a double between the first baseman and first, keeping the game at a managable 15-1.

I was down about ten in the bottom of the 6th, and never led until the Eddie Matthews hit a game winning home run as the first batter of the 10th, to give us a victory of 23-22.

ultimate7

Insane, I was about to have to score a 3 inning game, now I'm gonna have to score a 10 inning thriller, at least it won't be so bad watching it again.  Usually I don't watch much of the games during the recording phase, but since the game was about to be over I ended up watching the whole thing, summary should come at lunch today.

Attez 23 Bonny 22 (10 inn)

Leading 15-0 with 2 outs in the 4th, Ryan gave up what seemed like a meaningless RBI double to Mel Ott, only prolonging the game and temporarily avoiding a slaughter.  But From there Attez fought back as a tiring Nolan Ryan started to allow runs (3 in the 4th, 4 in the 5th, 5 in the 6th) he was finally pulled after giving up 4 in the top of the 7th to cut the score to 20-16, at which point Bob Gibson gave up 4 more tying the game after 7.

But Bonny wasn't done, GDavis hit a PH 2 run shot in the 8th, to regain the lead, but Campy hit a 2 run HR in the bottom of the 8th for Attez to tie it back up.  But Bonny's offense had shut down, going 1 for 10 after Davis' HR, Attez was finally able to win it with a lead off solo shot from Eddie Matthews in the bottom of the 10th.

Octo 14 Nomaa 13

It looked like Octo was in control with an 11-3 lead after 6, but Nomaa fought back getting 3 in the 7th and 5 in the 8th to tie it at 11.  Octo then got back to back HRs from the Canseco clones in the bottom of the 8th to regain a 13-11 lead.  A PH HR by Ted Williams and an RBI ground out by Ernie Banks tied it back up, but Davey Johnson hit a walk off HR to lead off the bottom of the 9th off John Franco.
