I cut and pasted from the other thread for those that are wondering:

"The games are played by the CPU.  If the pitcher comes to bat in the top of the 5th or bottom of the 4th and you are losing, or up by less than 3, the CPU will PH(with rare exceptions)

Same goes for the pitchers spot in the bottom of 7 or top of 8.  And same goes for the 8 and 9 spots in the 8th inning on for both teams as PH's remain."

Every batter will get ABs during the year, many weird things can happen, I've certainly seen games where all PHs were used by the 8th inning but that is rare the exception that I was talking about above, sometimes the spot will not get PH for if there is a pitching change, but sometimes even with the pitching change they will still PH, I can't figure out the how or why with that exception (it may be a home or road issue).

One other thing I saw in some games last season - if the computer brings in a pinch hitter and the team bats around, it will pinch hit for the guy it brought in earlier in the inning.  The computer doesn't keep track of who's been pinch hit for.

Correct, it will always PH for the 8 and 9 spots when the situation is as I indicated above, it doesn't matter who is in those spots.
