I've been trying and trying to get the Nightwulf one to work.  I've got all of my players attributes all set to enter into this program and here is my problem:

I enter in all of the batter info for TEAM 1.  Then, I go to TEAM 2 and several fields are already populated from my TEAM 1--when I change them for TEAM 2 this also changes what I had already put in for TEAM 1.

For instance I put in Dwayne Murphy's PWR at 807 (he is the 2nd batter for TEAM 1), I go to TEAM 2 and enter in Willie Randolph's PWR at 775, replacing the "807" that was already there (he, of course, is the 2nd batter for TEAM2).  I go back to TEAM 1 and now Dwayne Murphy has 775 PWR.  It can't be fixed.  very frustrating.

It is probably because I have a MAC, but I don't see how that could make a difference.  Any suggestions?  I was excited to get the Rickey ROM rolling, but it has to be right.  Is there another RBI editor I should use instead?

Thanks for the advice!   ???

What browser / version are you using? Sounds like a horrible awful nasty implementation of Javascript.

While I'm at it, when you change a value (such as power) and the field loses focus, do any Javascript errors show up?

I'm not getting any java message errors, actually.  I use intenet explorer on the MAC.

The best way I can describe what happens is that I type all in hitting info for TEAM 1 and then just by going to another team and going back to TEAM 1 there are usually a few fields that are now empty.  makes no sense.  Often the first and 8th batter are blank, but appear in TEAM 2.  The other problem about the stats populating the same # in different TEAMS I best explained in my first remarks to this post.

I'm going to try and enter in all the info at a friend's PC and see if that works.  I will let you know.  Do you think the MAC makes a difference?

Thanks for the help, Nightwulf.  my plan is to get it to eventually work (probably on another computer) and then log on from home and try it out.

wish me luck  All this crazy Rickey ROM research is going to come to fruition if it kills me!

Javascript errors. Not the same as Java errors. If the Mac version of IE is anything like the recent Windows versions, I don't think Javascript errors are brought to the user's attention by default. Unfortunately, I have no access to a Mac, and I'm unable to test IE on that platform.

Are you running the most recent version of IE? If not, try upgrading. Also, when you say "going back" to a team, are you just switching the team back to a previous one with the drop-down box, or physically hitting the "back" button in the browser? That could produce some weird results.

While I'm not primarily an IE (or Windows) user, I have tested my editor in various versions of IE on both win98se and winxp, and hadn't noticed any issues like you've mentioned. Worst case scenario, it's a bad implementation of JScript (Microsoft's crap Javascript library), and unfortunately there's not much I can do about it.

Firefox, the new browser from Mozilla, does have a MacOS X port. I'd look into it if you're running X, or at the very least I'd find an older Mozilla or Netscape version to run. IE on the Mac has always left a bad taste in my mouth.
