For a while there yesterday, I still had new buttons on the threads I hadn't read down toward the bottom of the page, but they weren't showing up on the top few threads. 

I could tell if there were new posts just by refreshing and seeing who posted last in whatever thread, but I wasn't getting the new button.  At the time, it blew my fkn mind.  Of course, I was pretty shitcanned at the time too, which probably contributed.
