#1
Atezz draws the first overall pick.

Drafting order was determined by a random number generator.  16th pick in the first round gets the 1st pick in the second and so on (ie.. After the first round, 1 & 16 will get two picks in a row).  I will do my best to keep a running tab in the first post of this thread.

When the draft is complete, you must have a line-up with a valid player for each position + a DH which can be any player.
There is no need to declare the position when drafting.  When the draft is over you will be asked for 1) your line-up, 2) The position for each player in your line-up, 3) Which hand you would like any switch hitters to bat, and your team colors.  If you make an error (ie.. you draft 6 outfielders), you will be forced to correct your team with the remaining undrafted players.

YOU WILL HAVE 24 HOURS TO MAKE YOUR DRAFT PICK AFTER THE PERSON IN FRONT OF YOU DRAFTS.  Hopefully most drafting will take this long, but wanted to accommodate everyone's busy schedules.  If you think you will not be online in the course of 24 hours, please send me/someone proxy picks or appoints someone to draft in your place.
Please reference the attached spreadsheet when drafting so you will know what their "RBI" stats will be and what position they have played.  Each player is eligible for any position listed in the attached file OR any position they played in at least 150 games in their career.

The league will be comprised of 4 divisions.  The divisions will be named after the first 4 players drafted.  After that, each team needs to pick what division they would like to be in along with their first pick (4 teams total per division).
Each team will play every team in their division 6 times, and every other team 2 times.
Schedule will be posted after the draft.

Each division winner along with 2 wildcards will advance to the playoffs which will be played out similar to the NFC Championship playoff structure in the NFL.  The first 2 rounds will honor home field advantage to the top seed in all games in a best of 3 series.  The Championship will be a best of 5 series alternating home field advantage with the top seed getting the 1st and 5th game if necessary. All seeds will be determined by overall record, with the 4 division winners are gauranteed seeds 1-4.  Tiebreakers in order will be head-to-head, runs/AB, Batting Average, and Slugging.
Game Play:  Will be the same as last year's league.  I will be playing offense for both teams against weakenned pitching.  All pitchers for all teams will have the same attributes.  Strikeouts, Walks, and Errors are turned off and I will not be stealing any bases.  10 run rule is in full effect.  I will be keeping stats for AB, Hits, doubles, triples, HRs, Batting Average, Slugging, and of course RBIs.

Wow, this looks fucking awesome. That's a ton of work you put into this, Stock.

Couple questions:

1) Is this a complete list of 3,000+ AB players, thus the definitive draft board?

2) What are the asterisks for? Looks like it's all active players, is that all it means?

Attezz

Wait, I want the Babe (Hermann) who had the second most power and 16 contact.

1)  I am hoping it is complete.  If there is anyone missing, they need to have 3,000 abs to be eligible.  Please PM me their name ahead of time so I can give you their RBI stats.  Also, they must be modern day enough players (usually if they played most of their career post 1900 you are good) for MLB.com to have OB% numbers for them.

2) Not sure what the astrisks mean.  MLB.com has them by some of the player names.  I think it is supposed to mean they are active players, but there are astrix next to some guys that definitely are not active.  You can just ignore them.

Either you are kidding or you sorted the list wrong.

Babe Herman:  790-power, 16-contact.
Babe Ruth:  995-power, 9-contact.

Please confirm.

That's cool.  When you said you drafted Babe Herman, I just assumed you were using The Babe's middle name.
Kinda threw me a curve ball.

Sorry guys...I need someone to take over my team or be partners as I won't be able to committ to this over the next few days.

Shooty sent me a ranking formula to make his picks.
I will follow the formula to a tee, if he is not around for his picks.

Nacho

What could possibly be going on in Shooty's life that is more important than a fantasy video game draft?

AlecTrevylan006

A live fantasy video game draft.

Stock

Apparently the State of the Union thread is more important to fightonusc.

there are also folks complaining about the lack of Bobby Grich, Dwight Evans, and Willie Randolph.

Stock

Excellent.
We have our 4 divisions set.

1.  Ruth
2.  Bonds
3.  ARod
4.  Pujols

With each remaining draft pick in this round, also pick which Division you would like to be in (4 teams per division).
