Shiraldi?

He had the lowest ERA last season.

And has been statistically a top reliever in prior seasons.

I have easily assembled the best pitching staff...bar none

It's gonna be hard to score more than 10 runs against me. If it happens, it will not happen often.

And beautiful work there Re-Peat...your tragic destiny awaits you.

I'm out for a bit, I left Darky a queue for both my next two picks so don't even wait for me

I seriously doubt this.

I seriously doubt this.

Especially since I think all or almost all pitchers had an ERA >10

The Raiders are a successful organization

TβG

so yeah, alec left his picks with darky.  shouldn't he have left them with me?  or attezz???

come back soon, darky.

I find it mildly hilarious that Darky thinks you can win in Fantasy RBI with pitching.

And then I drafted back-to-back pitchers (although there was some method behind that madness - I wanted to make sure that I got my relievers while guys with 15 stamina were still on the board).

Margin of error Beef...solid pitching (in the watch world) helps win ball games by keeping the score low (under 15 runs).
It does make a difference. Attez made some pithing changes last season, and the pitching change helped propel him to the playoffs.

I have the stats from seasons 2,3, and 4. I combined the stats and found some interesting numbers...like hits per inning, HR per inning, and of course ERA.

My relievers and starters are in the top tier according to my statistical analysis.

Using stats to gage pitchers is the best way to go...the parameter ratings of the pitchers does not give a clear cut analysis of how a pitcher will do in a game.

Shiraldi was a gamble, I only have two seasons of data to work with on him. But I like what I see so far and he did lead all relievers in ERA and hits per inning... so if he does have an off year, it won't be that horrible according to the Empire's scouting reports.

Attezz

My team, is terrible, to the point that when all's said and done I'm gonna make a rom and have them play a watch game season, I'm pretty sure they'll go 0-9 with the closest game against Houston.

Seriously.

TβG

the stats from season two are schewed because:

1. we only had 8 teams.
2. the line-ups were beefed up becuase the bottom 20 hitters didn't need to be drafted.
3. only 34 pitchers were used, not all 40.  In fact, only 32 were drafted.   The other two were picked up sometime during the season.

just keep that in mind.

even though your draft strategy is something i'm not familiar with, you still have a good team.

Yes, I was well aware of that. Which makes my pick of Morris, Cox and Orosco even more legit....

Seriously.

Your catcher will do you wrong...realy wrong.

And I was forced to take Jack Morris early cause I feared that Attez would snatch him up...after Attez took Gooden, I feared the worst.

And bear in mind that this is a 20 game season, so we'll see how the numbers crunch and how things play out.

Things are getting interesting...

I have 2 guys that I have my eyes on, and I sent them to Darky.  If they're there he can grab them for me.

If not, it's going to be an interesting decision that I'll have to deal with as it comes up.
