I had a PC before (that was over two years ago now).  I can't figure out how to open Virtual NES on a mac, which is what I have said like three times now.  I guess I'll just have to take all the fun away by just reading the boxscores.

:'(

Darky

You'll get it figured out Nacho...let the internets be your friend.

Also, I recorded my game right after I started this thread. I got screen shots on dee nee and on the game to show the times and whatever else demonstrates that I started the game right after I started this thread. I just need to transfer the video from my camera. So if anyone would like proof that the game was honest and random, let me know. Otherwise, I'll just save it and avoid doing that bs.

I'll do that every game I run. Start the thread then immediately start the rom and recording and take screen shots of dee nee.

And this league is a lot of work...especially with the boxscores and getting all the teams and lineups set up. Now I see why fighton got burnt out.

Ok, got it working, now avoiding posting spoilers.

ryno

You may want to shorten the season to 3/1 instead of 3/2 sets.

Also, can we not trust Darkside to be honest with his games?  I don't see the need in him jumping through hoops to prove he's not cheating on his games.

If you can't trust your best internet friend from Sweden, who can you trust?

AlecTrevylan006

I'm perfectly cool with it. I mean, maybe in the playoffs we could have an independent third party do recordings (I'll do it if I miss), but that's just to shut people up more than suspecting Darky.

ryno

I'm happy with trusting darkside, even in the playoffs.

IMPERIAL CENTER (AP) – The Galactic Empire (1-0) cruised to a 14-4 convincing victory over the Rebel Alliance (0-1) in front of 93,000 devout followers of the dark side at Imperial Center Stadium.

Danny Cox set the tone for the day with a 1-2-3 top half of the first inning. In the bottom half of the 1st, the Empire's offense registered 5 straight hits and jumped out to a 4-0 lead. The Rebel Alliance appeared to gain momentum as they were only down 5-3 going into the bottom of the 5th inning.  Then the Empire exploded for 7 runs off Alxndr in the 5th and never looked back as they added 2 more runs in the bottom of the 7th which ended the game due to the 10 run mercy rule.

Cox (2 ER) and Morris (2ER) each located the ball very well and worked ahead in the count for most of the day against a very talented Rebel Alliance. The Empire's first four hitters went 15/20 with 9 rbi's. The bottom of the lineup lead the way in manufacturing runs and setting the stage for J.Rice's moonshot which left the Rebel Alliance stunned in the Empire's huge 5th inning which left the score at 12-3.

"The Force was with us" commented the usual confident Darky. "We were well prepared today and I'm proud of how my players played heads up style Empire ball" said Darky to a group of swarming reporters.

Bell, who single handedly terrorized the Empire in Fantasy WS IV, was limited to 1 homerun today as he went 1/3. The Rebel Alliance baserunners were also thrown out at home in consecutive innings in the 3rd and 4th inning which ended rallies in both innings. Said manager Re-Peat, "being aggressive is how we defeated the Empire at the Battle of Endor".
The match was more similar of the Rebel Alliance's crushing defeat on Hoth.

DEE NEE (AP) - Doc Gooden and Mike Scott pitched lights out for 5 innings as the Fighting Artichokes looked to be on their way to an easy victory while leading 4-1 at TBT Park.

Then came the Chocolate Rain fury in the 6th and 9th. MScott ran into some trouble in the 6th and Reardn was hammered in one inning of work by giving up 7 hits and 6 runs and surrendering mammoth shots to JClark and Brookn in the 9th.

Jack Clark hit two homeruns and had 4 rbi's in leading the Chocolate Rain offense while Nolan Ryan picked up the win by pitching 3 scoreless innings in relief.

The Fighting Artichokes (0-1) staged a 9th inning comeback by scoring 7 runs but came up short as Henke came in to slam the door.

Attez, the original owner who bailed on the Fighting Artichokes before the season started, was not available for comment. He was seen at a non disclosed location playing cricket with Indian/Pakistanis in the parking lot for a few hours.

Nomaaa, a former protégé of the Galactic Empire, made a spectacular debut in the Fantasy RBI league as  manager for the Chocolate Rain (1-0). "We learned some impressionable lessons from our time with the Empire, but the time came to move on and away from that odd organization."

DEE NEE (AP) – Mark McGwire and Ruppert Jones discussed their different philosophies on hitting the night before opening day.

They considered each other's theories and advice in an effort to evolve their game. McGwir and Jones combined to go 10 for 10 with five homeruns, 4 doubles and 11 rbi's vs the Pabst Blue Ribbons. What ever was discussed paid immediate results.

The Awesome Badasses (1-0) and their rookie manager AlecTrevylan overpowered the Pabst Blue Ribbons (0-1) 17-7 in 8 innings. John Tudor pitched all 8 innings as he kept the powerful and explosive PBR hitters off balance all day.

Asked about his team's flat performance after a strong preseason, PBR manager Ryno said "that was the cuntiest piece of shit RBI game in the history of fantasy RBI."

CHICAGO (AP) - In a highly anticipated matchup at Soldier Field between the Sally Cunts and Fighting Cutlers, the game turned out to be a lopsided affair.

Childhood friends Strwby and EDavis hit back to back homeruns in the first inning as the Sally Cunts jumped out to a 6-0 lead which stunned the hopeful 61,500 spectators at Soldier Field who have very high expectations of the Cutlers. That 6-0 lead turned into a 13-1 fourth inning mercy rule domination by GM/Owner Mike D's Sally Cunts.

Vlnzla pitched 4 strong innings and only gave up 1 run on 6 hits. Fernando mania may just sweep the country once again as Nando has once again mastered his screwball while looking up to the heavens before throwing every pitch.

Nacho, manager of the Sally Cunts, issued a series of rants about how important history is in evaluating what political moves we should or should not make today during the post game conference which quickly drove the AP away.  "Rack, sometimes it is just downright stupid to think that you can compare historical situations to present day ones. Communism doesn't work.  Look at the 1870s!!!  We really ought to know our history on this one. Speaking of Communism, the Rack believed that Vietnam era comparisons aren't apt.  Again, Rack begs to differ." said Nacho in an empty press room.

Ultimate 7 was unavailable for comment but did yell out at a reporter "85 Bears".

Nando= dominant.  Helping his own cause by going 2-3 with 2 RBI's, as well.  I was pleasantly surprised by the offensive production of the SC's.

Hey Darkness-  How many games can we expect during a typical week?  Are you simming 1 slate of games a day, every other day, how does this work?

Twice a week or three times a week...week 2 will begin Wednesday or Tuesday. Depends how soon TBG logs on watches his game. But twice a week will be the benchmark. I wanna try and get two fantasy seasons in before November.

Ryno, I can't include everybody. I'm gonna be doing 21 more fantasy weeks of these things...gotta keep it short and compact. Mostly winning teams will get the attention, or if there is some storyline from the forums that I can tie in here.

Also, get in your lineup changes Ryno or anyone else ASAP...

I believe when I had Kruk in Fantasy Season 4 he came up big for me all year.  Was a pleasant surprise.

Nacho- less talk about other peoples teams, more talk about how dominant Fernando and the Sally Cunts were.
