Estoy in Colombia

Got back yesterday.  Awesome trip.  Spent the majority of my time in Bogota, staying in probably its nicest neighborhood (Rosales).  Nice city, lots of green space, lots of parks, a TON of malls, and lots of military personnel walking around with machine guns.  Also spent time in small towns outside of Bogota, and some time in the Colombian islands of San Andres and Providencia.

Spent the 4th of July at a fair at the US Embassy, which I believe is the 2nd biggest embassy that we have abroad (after Egypt).  It was basically a carnival with several thousand people in attendance, including military and Colombian elites, many of whom were total cunts.  For example, when trying to find the entrance, one lady asked "Where did your driver drop you off?" in a smug tone.  Another lady, after my ladyfriend and I waited in line for 20 minutes for some free food, stepped in front of us and asked the vendor for something.  He mentioned that she needed to wait in line and she then said, "I don't wait in line" and asked another worker, who promptly gave it to her.  Fuck you, elite-types.  My girlfriend proceeded to yell "Shame on you!" at the lady, and afterwards we followed her around for about fifteen minutes saying things like "What a bitchy thing to do."  I also called her a "filthy cunt," but may have been out of earshot.  Regardless, I believe this makes me the first Dee-Neer to call someone a filthy cunt at a US embassy.
