Fantasy RBI 2010?

After being a part of the FRBI for a draft and 6 games, I see why this is so addicting.  Since online RBI (the good kind) is in its infancy, I'd really like to see my 2010 ROM get utilized.  I would like to run a fantasy RBI league much like Darky does.  I want to know if anyone would be interested in doing this?  With an existing league going already, I'd understand if there wasn't interest from those members, I know you guys are hardcore on the original.  Darky runs a pretty good league, and this would in no way be competition for it...just a similar concept with some modern flair.

A few points to note:
- It has to be casual.  I don't have the time to video tape all the games. I know there was some suspicion of cheating in the FRBI against Darky, but people will just have to trust that I'm a good sport, as I think I've proved I am thus far.  If needed, we'll figure something out, but I'm hoping to just roll with it for season 1

- I've got no experience as a baseball scorer other than what I've learned being a fan.

- Since this is my first season, there will probably be some growing pains. I've run plenty of online leagues before, but never one like this. So, patience is required (a co-commish might be helpful if someone wanted to help out)

- Participation (posting stories, recaps, etc) would likely be expected...in a league such as this, the most fun is gonna come from user interaction...

My thoughts:
Either pick a real MLB team as your mascot, or do fantasy style like FRBI.
I'll create a website with draft board and box scores and whatnot. You'd also use this to set lineups...
Since 30 teams would result in stacked teams, I think it'd be better for each participant to choose a real life team to include in the draft and we only include players from those teams.

Would anyone be interested? Darky, hope it's cool with you that I run this in parallel with your league.  I have no plans to leave your league, BTW. This is just a supplement to it.

Well, you wouldn't actually keep the whole team...

You'd pick a team to include in the draft pool.  Just cause you pick the Cardinals doesn't mean you get Pujols...

If you wanted to name your team "St. Louis Cardinals," you could do that.  Having a pool of 30 teams worth of players would be too much, and this would be a way to let people choose what teams are included in the draft...

Go for it Turd. It's a free world and you have my blessing. When order is restored with my life here, I'll see what I can do to help out---no promises though. I am interested in this, but I don't have time to invest much thought right now due to some profound things going on in my life----plus I need to get week 7 going and finish up the stats.

I know it's a free world, but as I said I'm respectful of your league, and besides, that's just how I roll.  Thanks for the blessing...who knows if we have enough interest or not anyways, but I'd like to try.

Can we make this a keeper league?

Keeper league...I'd be down for that, but, if it's gonna be a keeper league, it would require some more thought...basically when the 2011 ROM would come out, we'd have to use a standard rating formula, otherwise it wouldn't really work well.

We could start small...and if we wanted to get cute and add more GM stuff in subsequent seasons, we could (e.g., more than 2 SPs on your roster, and your lineup for the week would consist of an SP, and 3 relievers, prospects, sending guys to the minors to play in minor league watch games to improve power and contact...etc.).

I'm open to any discussions on how to make this thing fun and unique...
