I just watched the GE-FC game, per Nacho's recommendation, and it had something I don't think I've ever seen before - a wild throw to home plate.  The bad throw to third is quite common, and I think I may have seen it to first, but not to home.

It only lasted three innings, and you gave up a triple to Jimmy Key.

Not a homer?

Then it beat expectations.

the bad throw to home happens, i've seen it plenty of times.  it happens from the centerfielder.

Happens about once every 14 innings according to the charts.

Sorry guys, about the delay. My personal life has taken a chaotic turn---my step dad had a stroke, his liver is failing, and he's in the hospital again. Throw in the fact that my sister has not yet told my father that I have found them---I'm really anxious and nervous about this. I finally spoke with my sister just now, so that was a relief. I guess either tomorrow or on Thursday they'll deliver the letter I wrote to him and break him the news. I'm also worried about how he will respond etc. Also, it has been hard getting a hold of my sister because somebody close to her passed away, so I've been in the dark lately about this---very frustrating.

Anyways, so this has made it hard for me to score games and put in the proper energy it deserves. I don't want to just post the boxscores without providing a recap. Very unprofessional in my book. In any case, the show goes on and I'll start scoring a couple of games right now and try to have it done by tomorrow. Just consider this a little recess.

Peace and happiness to all...

Good luck man...I can't speak for the rest of the league, but take care of your shit.  FRBI can wait IMO.  I hope it all gets right soon...

TbT

as quickly as the darky moves the league along, its perfectly fine to take a break for the personal issues.

that, and it gives me more time to truly savor the win over the Empire.   ;D

Awesome Badasses quickly dismantle Banana Hammocks, snap 4 game losing streak

Milwaukee (AP) - In just three quick innings, the Awesome Badasses laid the mercy rule on the Banana Hammocks in a non league game at Quinlan Park.

The Badasses scored 8 runs in the second inning and added 5 runs in the top of the third inning to go up 13-2. The Hammocks were unable to extend the game as J.Key tossed a scoreless third.

C.Speir led the Badass offense with a double, a homerun, and 4 RBI's in his two at-bats. J.Key had his changeup working and only allowed 2 runs off 3 hits in three innings of sharp work.

Off to the worst start in league history and with spring in the air, there appears to be some hope for last year's playoff participants. It will be a tough challenge for second year owner AlecTrevylan to reach the playoffs and win the majority of his games this year.

Awesome Badasses 2-6, (0-6)
Banana Hammocks 3-5, (2-4)

OC Legions of Doom rock Krukow for 12 runs and mercy rule Poopydicks in five

Sioux Falls (AP) - With spring in the air at Hal Shroeder Field, the OC Legions of Doom played inspired baseball and won their 4th straight as they used a 12 run fifth inning to blow by the Poopydicks 18-7.

Going into the bottom of the 5th inning, the Poopydicks were up 7-6 and M.Krukow entered the game as the long reliever. Krukow only recorded two outs and never made it out of the inning as he was rocked for 12 runs off 12 hits.

The explosive OC offense unleashed a fury of hits as they jumped all over Krukow in the 5th inning. The inning and game ended instantly when J.Lindmn hit his second HR of the game, a grand slam that sent the fans into a wild frenzy. J.Lindmn ended up with an impressive 8 RBI's for the game.

With the mercy rule win, the OC now move into sole possession of second place in the Gantry League.

Poopydicks 4-4, (4-2)
OC Legions of Doom 5-3, (3-3)

Sally Cunts cruise to victory

Minneapolis (AP) - The Sally Cunts jumped out to a 9-3 lead after three innings and pretty much cruised from there to a 14-11 win at Fidel Reagan Freedom Gulag Stadium.

F.Viola held the Pabst Blue Ribbons in check for most of the game, and B.Sbhrgn, D.Smith and King kept the door shut on the Blue Ribbons as they pitched effectively in short relief.

G.Carter drove in 4 runners while DwEvans went 4-5 at the plate to help lead the Sally Cunts on offense.

Fighting Ulrachers edge Alliance in extra innings, remain in first place with best record in the FRBI League

Madison (AP) - D.Evans hit a mammoth 2-run blast that disappeared into the next dimension and S.Grelts pitched a scoreless 10th as the Fighting Ulrachers won a tight non league contest at Porkins Memorial Stadium on a blistery cold day.

The Alliance took a 17-15 lead going into the top of the 9th inning, but Orosco surrendered 4 run to the Ulrachers and the Ulrachers went up 19-17 going into the last half of the 9th. The Alliance got a clutch pinch-hit 2-run HR from Walling off the bench to tie it up and send the contest into extra innings.

Will 'the thrill' Clark doubled to lead off the 10th, and the next batter DaEvans hit a mammoth HR off Shrld to give his team a 21-19 lead going into the bottom of the 10th. Grelts breezed through the 10th and picked up the win as he tossed a scoreless inning.

DaEvans, who was Darky's hitting instructor in rookie/A-ball in 1993 with the Rockies, had a huge night as he hit for the cycle accompanied by 2 HR's and 5 RBI and 4 runs scored.

The Ulrachers retain sole possession of first place in the Gantry League along with being owners of the best record in the FRBI League. Their win also disabled the Alliance from moving into first place in the Dove RBI League with the Empire's loss.

Fighting Ulrachers 6-2, (5-1)
Rebel Alliance 4-4, (3-3)

Reggie Jackson awakens from hibernation, helps lift Fighting Artichokes past the Empire

Fort Dodge (AP) - With only one HR and a lack of clutch hits through 7 weeks, owner TBT has been very disappointed with perennial first round pick R.Jackson. R.Jackson responded to public criticism and delivered a R.Jackson like performance (5-6, 4 2B, 1 HR, 5 RBI, 4 R) as he helped lead the Artichokes to a 24-19 victory at home.

Down 16-14 in the bottom of the 6th, the Artichokes scored 6 runs to go up 20-14. The first place Empire scored 3 runs in the top of the 7th to narrow the margin 20-19, but the Fighting Artichokes showed their resiliency when Schfld hit a 2-run shot and both Spillman and Burks added solo shots to give the Artichokes a comfortable 24-19 lead heading into the stretch.
Reardn took over from there and earned the save as he allowed only 3 hits and no runs in his two innings of relief to shut the door on the Galactic Empire.

The Artichokes have won 2 straight now and may be making their move for the playoffs in the same fashion as last year when everybody counted them out. "The fight in our Artichokes and their will to never give up is why we passionately love them" said a loyal fan.

Despite the loss, the Galactic Empire remain in sole possession of first place in the Dove RBI League and have now occupied that spot in 27/28 weeks dating back to season V. The Empire have yet to win on the road this year as they drop to 0-3 on the road.
