Once again, straight out of Philly, 100% original MLB trivia as it relates to RBI:

Gentleman:

Over an 8-year span in MLB history, an NES RBI hurler was rewarded the AL Cy Young seven times.  Name the only AL Cy Young award winner who did not represent the Tengen League over this 8-year stretch.

Because the question is easier than my last, the correct answer will be posted on Saturday August 3rd.  And remember, a true RBI baller does not need an outside statistical service for assistance.

Good luck.

My initial thought is an Oakland A in 88- not sure if Welch, Stewart or Eckersley won it.  Gun to my head I'd say Eck, but I think Welch went 28-6.

84 Willie Hernandez (Tengen rep)
85 Saberhagen (Tengen rep)
86 Clemens (Tengen rep)
87 Morris? (Tengen rep)
88 Athletic?
89 Clemens?
90 Clemens?
91 Clemens?

Good question!

i am going to go with Bob Welsh  but i am not sure what year he won....

i know it was willie in 84
it was saberhagen in 85 and 89 with kc
Clemens won it is 86, 87 and 91
viola 'sweet music' won in 88
and welsh in 90...

speaking of welsh... i wonder is schilling will get a chance to pass the 27 win plateau with the impending strike hovering over baseball like a black cloud...  i am still bitter about the strike in 94 costing Gwynn his chance at .400...  he would have done it...

I think Gwynn had a good chance too, but he might have finished at .370 with 7 homers

Bob Welch is correct.  Please see my new thread for the next homemade question I just thought of.

Well done.  This was a fairly easy question.  I will think of a hard one for this week.  I thought Donnie Moore being a closer on Cali may steer some of you'all to guest players on the rbi angels.
