Game 1
Rockies got off to a quick start by scoring 3 runs in the first 2 innings.  Shields did the rest on the mound by pitching a complete game victory, but lost his shutout bid when Fielder knocked a HR in the 9th to make the final score 7-1.

Game 2
Rockies once again jump out to an early lead with 1 in the first and than 3 in the 3rd on a Zimmerman pinch hit HR.  Braves hit much better this game with 11 hits but all of them singles except for a HR from Willingham into the scoreboard in the top half of the 7th to get on the board and make it 5-1 in favor of the Rockies.   Rocks add 1 more in the bottom of the 7th and than another in the 8th off a Brad Hawpe inside-the-park homerun to make the final score a repeat of the first game 7-1.
