amazing inning II

speaking of amazing innings,

as i awaited the arrival of my friends (months ago) i decided to fit in a quick game of rbi. well it wasn't quick. after two innings the score was 12-3 or something like that. i let the computer then score a bunch of runs so the game would last longer. so i think it was 12-11 after 3. well, in my fourth inning, the top of it, i pulled off just about the most amazing feat ever. We'll just say that the final score was 36-11. There was a 4 on the scoreboard, not for 4 runs, or 14, but 24. it was ridiculous. And not once did they change pitchers, the guy was throwing 25mph. I saved it till my friends showed up, took a picture and the rest was history. beat that.

34-0, with the game called after the bottom of the first -- Boston against the computer, which was playing California. Once Witt starts getting tired, you can drill him so hard it makes you laugh. Dave Henderson batted four times as a pinch-hitter for the pitcher and hit four home runs. This kind of thing probably happens once in 1,000 games.

Most runs I've ever scored in a game was 62 (Me: AL All-Stars 62; Computer: San Francisco 51). I was letting the computer catch up to within 8 or 9 runs each inning. The game finally ended on an accidental strikeout and two accidental line drives to the pitcher. I wonder if anyone has ever scored 100, and if so, what happens.

Second-best inning ever was 28 with NL All-Stars; I can't remember which team it was against because it was a long, looong time ago.

If you score 100 runs, the Tengen party squad breaks down your door and you are immediately surrounded by dancing asian girls with tassells on their nipples.

I tried today so see if I could beat any of the records using Detroit against California.  Best I could do is 20 runs in an inning against a very tired Witt in the 4th.

However the final score in the game was 67-51.  

Batting Stats were 97 AB, 71 H, 21 2B, 25 3B, 12 HR, and a K  

Unfortunately, I had a spell in the 7th and 8th innings where the CPU held me to 1 run.  I would have like to get 100 At Bats.
