Really got the offense going, there.

Bell FINALLY with his first homer of the year late in the game.

Continued production from Burks and DiCinces as well. They needed a change of scenery to get out of that toxic Empire clubhouse.

GDavis couldn't keep up with the Pinkmen - only 3 runs scored after the 3rd inning when they had scored 9 after 3 innings. The Pinkmen scored 12 runs after the 3rd inning.

Ojeda was sharp! He retired the side in the 7th and 8th and counting the last out from the 6th inning, he retired 7 straight! Ojeda was hitting his spots and mixed speeds well. 3 runs in 4 innings of long relief by Ojeda, impressive.

Canseco was 3-5 with 1HR, a single, and a double. I guess he's accepted the leadoff role but the team psyche is clearly not stable and not on the same page with the coaches because of how polarizing Canseco batting leadoff is. 

And Bell  6-6 and his first HR! Hrbek mashed as well with a 4-6 performance and two shots.

And this was significant: Franco and Doran combined to go for 6-10 from the 7 and 8 hole. Both joined in on the HR party with a HR each. In contrast, Brenly and Grich combined to go for 2-8 from the 7 and 8 hole including a DP by Brenly and no extra base hits from those two spots in the order.

Only two errors this game.

Nando got violently rocked - 6 bombs and a lot of firework shows in 4 innings. Wow.

And Backmn with the lone HR for the Chili's. That was a redemption start for Gooden - only 6 hits and 2 runs surrendered in 4 innings. Statement game by the Shooties.

Big game to close out the week between my Empire and Mclane's AOS.

Baylor and Pena have both expressed their gratitude for getting them out from under the Darkside's tyrannical and irrational management.  I would also like to publicly apologize to Hendrick and Nokes for whatever emotional pain comes their way. Hopefully they can take what their "Play the Game the Right way" Shooties style and influence some change in the Empire's dressing room...either that or infect their team.  Before they left, we injected one of them with AIDS.  See if you can guess which one.
