Really happy with my lineup so far. Other than maybe Tom Herr, there's no easy outs up and down the lineup. Throw in some pretty decent pitching, and you've got yourself a stew!

there are also folks complaining about the lack of Bobby Grich, Dwight Evans, and Willie Randolph.

I've had my doubts about my trade with ryno, but I think I'm really gonna like having Chili Davis batting leadoff.

These 2 games have been brutal.   I simmed about 10 games yesterday and was really pleased with Wilfong and Jackson.  Rupert was very blah.

Very happy with Hojo ......wish Coleman would not hit the ball in the air so much

The games are so random. You can sim 20 games with different lineups against a certain pitcher and so on and have a fair expectation of what is likely to happen, but then that one game that counts can be totally against the data from those 20 games.

You have a good team for sure! I like your pitching staff there. Cox and Saberhagen are proven big game pitchers. I knew I should have took Cox when I had the chance, but oh well. Cox is top 5 in career ERA.

Losers Bracket Game 13: BeefMasters vs Nachosen Ones

And a thriller it was!

I'm good with exiting the pre-season tournament early. We got our cuts in, our pitchers got loose, and we don't need to over-expose ourself by letting the other teams get too familiar with the Nachosen Ones' pitching staff.

High ass can be distracting! You guys out there partying it up! And thanks for the compliment in the previous post. Time to run the game in a minute and got the organ music ready!

Wow, we got ALL the breaks that game ... all of them - we got a lot of luck that game. Carter hitting 3 jacks and Speir and Heep manufacturing at the bottom of the lineup helped. We held the Douchebags okay and they never had that big inning. And I'm totally pleased with the Uribe trade - he's doing his job in the 8-hole. Our top 5 can hit with anyone and if one guy has an off day, the other 4 can pick up. The 6-7 hole is the area that can make us or break us. Speir and Heep can hit above their 807 power rating - they're right up there with hitters in the 830 range. Speir is a guy who'll hit .500 and chip in from 4-6 jacks. The same will happen with Heep, but we'll see since this is his first season as a starter. Kinda surprised with our team's run and we are not as shitty as I thought we'd be, but we are certainly not dominant - just feisty and headsup. I'll run the final at 11pm my time/4pm dee nee time.

The organ music, the claps, and the commentary are great!
What the he'll was that phantom double play?

The organ music is comforting! And that phantom play was something I've never seen before and probably never will. My guy was on second and the infielder caught the ball right on second, and then boom, double play with my guy not even leaving the bag.

The Dee Nee Summer Classic will now be played at 21:40 my time and 2:40pm Dee Nee times. If the Empire wins, a second game of the final will be played since the Creamy Pirates are undefeated thus far.

SP2 in this game.

Shooty

I call shenani-goats on the play at 3:50.  The outfielder had the ball well before the trailing runner was at third.  The CPU would never send the runner home there.
