Does it really matter? He'd probably drafting Maury Wills first anyway, only to trade him later for Steve Sax.

Shooty

No matter how bad his draft is, I have a feeling Darky will make it to the finals.

I flip-flopped/reversed Tempo's draft order from his NES league - explained that in the signup thread. Besides, I've drafted next to last twice and last in the last three drafts, and there are perks as GM and league commissioner considering the work I'll be putting in for the league. There'll be no mistakes this draft or dumb trades this season - back to Empire style management and baseball!

The Empire always expects to be in the finals! As long as I don't fuck up this draft and trade away talent, the Empire should be really strong. Our advanced scouting has done a sound job to prepare us for this draft. Aaaaand, no worries, every step will be taken to assure that there'll be no "hand of god" suspicions. And if Fighon is willing to sim the Empire's games, that would be great. Also, we took Ryno's team and turned it into a contender in season IV when Fighton ran it, but lost in the finals after turning that team around and getting to the finals. Then I had some good drafts in seasons, V and VI - didn't make the finals in season VI.

This pool of GMs will make for a tough draft and the draft itself will be a challenge since you just can't take any OF. I wonder if Ryno will draft all lefties again!

I may have my pick ready by this weekend just to get it out there. Our scouts have seen enough from the Arcade players, and yes, there are certain players who play below/above their ratings - so more of the ghosts in the machine!

I'm tired of getting fucked over in every fucking fantasy arcade rbi draft.  Darky is pulling some crazy bullshit shenanigans and I don't appreciate it!!!!!!!!!

Darky

GDavis, do you think the observer effect has any affect on the games?  ;)

The first pick is not as advantageous in the arcade version as it is in the NES. The middle to the end of the draft list will have two hitters who should hit over .600 and should have 18 jacks a piece.

ryno

Last pick on a whim sucks chocolate salty balls.

Shooty

Does it suck less than the guy who is running the draft giving himself first overall because he felt like it?

Darky

All I did was reverse Tempo's draft order! Blame him!

Wait, so rather than actually have a legitimate process, you ACTUALLY intentionally gave yourself the first pick?

ryno

So tempo is the real sonofabitch here?  You just can't trust a white Sox fan.

If I had pulled a stunt like this in the last fantasy league, someone would have flown out to LA to personally crucify me.
Quote from: BeefMaster on 11/13/17, 08:32:00 AM
there are also folks complaining about the lack of Bobby Grich, Dwight Evans, and Willie Randolph.

That would have been Darky.

Nacho

I think it's entirely possible we could have a lockout before a draft even happens.

Darky

The first 6 players who top the power ratings are all at 975. Then the next 5 players are at a power rating of 945. So Frankie Says Relax! I can understand there is some fear of what the Empire will be capable of by finally being able to draft early!

btw, Fighton, are you going to have time to sim my games that the Empire plays in for the season?
80's at eight

Nacho

So you are saying:

Don't worry that we didn't have a fair randomization of the draft order, because here are some numbers.

Is that right?

Nacho

Also, it's pretty crazy that Davey Johnson has such crazy high power numbers. I never realized that he had one Brady Anderson-like season where his HR numbers more than doubled his second-best season.

Shooty

Interesting to see such a wide swing in contact rating.  0-40.
