I explained the conditions and that's final. I advised to wait until after the draft if you recall.

16th pick goes to Shooty - not the 8th.

Yes, he gets that last pick, but Musial will take the 78th spot in your draft order. Shooty has made his 8th round pick. You are not losing a draft pick since you got an extra player in the deal.

But if you do that, where does the lost pick go?

You seriously either don't understand logic or you are trying to purposely fuck up the deal.

Look, you already approved the deal over PM.  If your brain doesn't understand how things work, GDavis and I will just do it after the draft so its simpler for you.

If I am reading this correctly, Darky just is trying to figure out where to put the new player in the existing draft list.

Quote from: Nacho on 09/10/18, 03:23:54 PM
That's specified as part of the trade. It's actually kind of key to the whole trade.

There you go! They can still cancel and they have until GDavis' slot in this 8th round to reverse the trade and wait until after the draft. Musial just can't be hanging out there and ready to jump after the draft. There has to be conditions to trading during the draft, particularly for uneven trades and I just set the conditions. Again, I advised to wait until after the draft where there'll be a short window for trades.

GDavis

Is this some kind of weird Swedish math the the American school system hasn't caught up to yet?

Shooty

Look Darky.  If you place Musial in GDavis's 8th slot, then I have no one in my 6th slot.  So do I get to make another sixth round pick again?

Shooty

If we do it Darky's way, then everyone moves up one draft spot somehow since my 6th round pick has somehow turned into GDavis' 8th round pick and there's nothing to fill that void.

Darky...how does that make sense.

Instead of responding kneejerkedly saying this is your decision.  Please actually think about the logic here.

Darky

Okay, that makes better sense. Thank you. I conferred with my counsel as well. I'll fix the draft page and replicate the changes you made.

btw, I was super busy at work and just got home, so it was hard to process it all while being in a hundred different places.

Oh....so that Young on Boston is Cy Young! I only read Young and never made the connection. Odd that he is a RP in the arcade version.

I messaged Fighton a while ago about his pick, so hopefully he comes in before he gets passed up too many slots.

Congrats Nomaaa.  Dee-Nee's new Sandwich King.

Shooty

Why is Mickey Cochrane crossed out?  I don't think he was drafted yet.

Darky

I have no idea what happened there. Fixed it.

Good draft selection by Fighton - Ryan did extremely well on my simulations - second to Drysdale. But...that was only for 18 games.

I've messaged fightonusc. Hopefully he's not stuck in traffic.

there are also folks complaining about the lack of Bobby Grich, Dwight Evans, and Willie Randolph.

Mike Scott has terrible stamina.  I thought he'd be the last SP taken.

Nacho

But great drop. Is fatigue one of the factors that determines when a pitcher will be taken out?

GDavis

I figured that fatigue just means they get taken out early, but i'd rather have less quality innings, then a pitcher that lasts longer but gets shelled.
