Sizzling hot Empire quickly route Purple Reign and win 4th straight behind outstanding team hitting and masterful pitching by ERA league leader Guidry. Empire surge into 3rd place. Hack Wilson hits longest shot of the year, measured at 848 feet.

DwEvns traded for Lou Brock in a trade before the week 14 deadline. Social media goes abuzz about the positives and negatives about the trade details for both the Empire and Swinging Dicks

Is it strange that I look forward to these games more than real MLB games?

Sleep walking and down 9-2 in the 5th to the Swinging Dicks, Mickey Mantle awakens Montreal Exposé with grand slam, sparking 9-run rally. Swinging Dicks leading 13-12 in the 8th, Reggie Jackson whacks 3-run go-ahead homerun. Montreal's bullpen takes over and holds Swinging Dicks. Exposé outscore the Dicks 8-3 down the stretch.

McGwire blasts 4 homeruns and now second in the league with 22, 3 behind Mantle's league leading 25. Mantle and McGwire tied for the RBI lead at 46.

Lou Brock traded to the Empire for DwEvns. Social media suggesting Brock not popular in Swinging Dick's clubhouse.

holy shit is Sal Bando bad.  I can't believe he came through after being like 1-74 up to that point.

BUT MIKE MCCORMICK!

Playoff hopes remain alive for Steely Dans Revenge after marathon win over Sides Of Beef. McCrmk pitches deep into extra innings, allows no runs and pitches a perfect 12th to end the never-ending ballgame. SBando (.310) hits tiebreaking HR barely just over the RF wall in the top of the 12th. Now has 6 HR and 9 RBI! Steely Dans must win victory keeps them in striking distance and only two games back for the wildcard 8th seed and play-in birth.

Sides Of Beef lose second straight extra inning game - a FRBI first. Media once again focus on lack of ability to put teams away for Sides Of Beef. The game sets the all-time record of 12 innings for a FRBI regular season game.

THREE CONSECUTIVE INNINGS where one run wins the game, and we can't do it. Got a guy to third once, I think. It's mind bottling.

Luis Tiant has also been a DISASTER lately and would 100% have been dropped for someone off the street after that game if this league had free agents.

Down 15-14, Blue Foot Boobies use 5-run 8th sparked by RSanto's go-ahead homerun to take 19-15 lead and go on to win 19-16 behind a DzDean save. Cepeda and RSanto both hit a pair of homeruns and both drove in 5 runners. Blue Foot bullpen only surrendered 1 run which proved to be one of the key factors to victory.

The Cleveland Spiders squandered leads of 10-2 and 14-9 as they continue to find creative ways to lose. In the history of FRBI 12-game seasons, no team ever finished below 5 wins. On a promising note, Foster continues to swing a hot stick and has raised his average almost .200 points over the past 3 games. And BBonds with his 855 power now has a surprising 16 HR after hitting two homeruns.

Week 13 today at 10 am Dee Nee time. Remember that it's a 18-game season, so we are on the stretch run here! Playoff format description is located in the opening post. The Steely Dans still have a shot for the wild card 8th seed - just two games back.

Huge upset by the Spiders.

Humongous! And it was by way of mercy rule! Foster must have gotten his personal issues resolved now because he sure has found his swing. I kept waiting for the Spiders to collapse, but they played with some passion today. GDavis team couldn't handle the pressure of the possibility of losing to the last place team! His team can't handle the bright lights either.

And those Steely Dans are right back in this thing! Wow! I thought Kofax was maybe going to pitch a complete game shutout! Tempo's team is just one game behind the logjam teams at 6-7. So we got a juicy storyline going on there.

And suddenly there's a 4-way tie for 1st place! I didn't have much confidence in my team early on, but after the last lineup change, we've been on fire. Drysdale had a sharp outing and he's finally pitching up to his scouting sims that showed good numbers. I wasn't too confident going in against Beef, but after the "hand of god" error in the 1st inning that helped lead us to a 10 run 1st, well, it fueled Drysdale. That error was crazy because the game was tied with one out, and the fly ball to the CF was a shallow one and I had Aarron on third. That ball is caught, Aarron is doubled out at home since the fly ball was so shallow - could have had a different game because we didn't score much after that.

And how 'bout Lou Brock HOMERING in his first at-bat with the Empire! In fact, that was his first homer of the year! He was thrilled to put on the Empire uniform! Hollywood stuff there! I didn't think we'd ever be in first, but here we are and the Empire is back!

Shooty's team hit into some double play rally killers. I think Shooty's team doesn't put up the same numbers against RH pitchers. I can look up that stat. Mantle dropped a couple of bombs in his first two at-bats, but that was it. That big inning never came for the Exposé. U7 showed his team is dangerous and can beat anybody on any given day. I kept waiting for Shooty's team to go on a Warriors style run, but it never came. It seems weird that Shooty's team isn't scoring more with so much power in his lineup. I should take a look again at his numbers, but I think maybe some of his big 900+ hitters aren't putting up the HR numbers that commands +920 power.

This season has taken a life on its own and creating these storylines and all the ups and downs for everybody. Love it!

I am researching to buy a new laptop right now. I pretty much have to write stuff down as far as the tech aspects for which laptop is the best all-around. The main thing is to broadcast on Twitch without any streaming hiccups, but then I don't want strictly a gaming laptop since that would be dumb because I am only using the NES emulator. And then the stupid warehouse has to carry the laptop I want - this isn't America when it comes to everything available in the tech sector. But I think I have a good idea which to buy and yes, it'll cost, but it'll be worth it once I broadcast these games Twitch live.

Cleveland Spiders shock Hulk Hogans in mercy rule blowout. Spiders snap 4-game losing streak and still have a gleam of hope for playoffs (3 games back for a wildcard birth with 5 to play). George Foster continues hitting terror with 5 hits and 3 homerun effort - hit 2 HR in first 7 games, now has hit 9 in the last 6 games. Doerr continues surprising and successful season with 4 H, HR, & 4 RBI. Ryan Express has strong outing, Tudor doesn't collapse.

Game tied 9-9 in the bottom of the 6th, McCovy hits go-ahead HR to spark a 6-run rally - Spiders then piled on to mercy rule victory - players storm Tudor on the mound after shocking victory.

Empire's 10-run 1st and Drysdale's strong outing carry the Empire to 5th straight win, now tied for 1st place. Lou Brock hits first HR of the year in debut at-bat for the Empire, collects 3 hits. HWilson and Aarron have big day at the plate. RCey and JDavis continue to swing hot bats. The Empire have outscored opponents 45-14 in last 3 games.

Sides Of Beef' CF DwMurphy commits costly error in the 1st, leads to 8 unearned runs and 10-run 1st inning rally for the Empire. Sides Of Beef now on 3-game losing streak.

Koufax pitches 4R/11H masterpiece in 8 innings, doesn't allow a run until the 7th. Dawson blasts two homeruns, Banks and DMurphy homer - the jumbo 3 combine for 12 RBI. The Steely Dans Revenge win second straight, now won 3 of their past 4, only 1 game behind for the wildcard 8th seed with 5 games to go.

DwEvns goes 2-4 in his debut for the Swinging Dicks. McGwire fails to homer, RMarris only goes 1-4, and the 6-9 spots in the line up only get 2 hits in 15 at-bats.

"Knucksie" Niekro and Catfish Hunter combine to limit the #1 scoring team in the league to their 2nd lowest scoring output of the year. U7's 4th inning 9-run rally demoralized the high scoring Exposé. WMays hits a pair of doubles and HRs with 3 RBI, Horner crosses home plate 4 times and drives in 3, Yaz hits 4 doubles, and the Thrill goes 5/6. U7 now in 5th place. But it was Niekro who set the tone with his strong outing against an explosive Exposé lineup. U7 went on 16-3 run between the 3rd and 6th.

League leading HR leader, Mantle, hits another two homeruns, but fails to reach base again going 0-4 the rest of the way and hit into two double plays. Exposé hits into 3 double plays as things just didn't go their way against a U7 pitching staff who had one of their better days (8th in ERA). Gehrig went hitless and now only hitting .514 - performing below expectation.
