The error 9 setting is playing too big of a role in most of the games. Random errors are part of the game, but consistent errors, game after game, gives too much of an edge to the team who commits even one more error in a tight game and it's game after game. With the strength of each lineup, the 9 error setting only compounds the edge a team gets when the other team makes an error. I just think the error setting is having too much of an impact.

Solutions can be that perhaps the error setting goes down to 6 or 7. Or we randomly rotate the error settings for each game of a gameday. For instance, I can go live video with nomaaa and draw a paper representing an error setting for each game. Or we can draw a paper representing an error setting for week 4. The papers in the hat can range from 4 to 9 for instance ... or 0 to 11 or whatever as long as we can get some kind of changeup to a constant 9 error setting.

Beef, Nacho, Ryno, Shooty, nomaaa, Tempo, Fighton, Ultimate, thoughts?

Shooty

I'm fine the way it is.  More than half the errors are throwing errors that aren't a result of the error setting anyway.

Nacho

I always prefer a lower error setting. More errors never make the game more fun IMO.

there are also folks complaining about the lack of Bobby Grich, Dwight Evans, and Willie Randolph.

Sounds like everyone agrees with me, good

It is the same for everyone, that is all that matters.  This is a friggin' RBI fantasy league are we really going to change the set up now because errors have to big of an impact?

nomaaa has agreed to turn over his league to the Galactic Senate. So the show will go on mi amigos!

More information will be released this week and hopefully by then, I'll have Twitch figured out or any kind of live stream service so all the games of the week can be streamed at once and live.

Records and schedules as well as most other rules in place will continue. There may be a tweak or two with free agent signings and playoff format. This league will happen, so make no doubt about it.

What about the league you were running that you didn't finish?  This is weird.

That will be done as well. Either at the same time as nomaaa's league or right after. Or ... I can just get that arcade league going first and maybe give time for nomaaa to get inspired to run his league.

Will download Twitch today. Had to move a lot of stuff over to another hard drive to make space for Twitch on my laptop. If there is something that goes wrong with Twitch, last case scenario is going old school with YT recording but I really want to avoid that since the quality comes out shit and going live is champ.

Downloaded Twitch Studio. It said I had bad hardware. Ran a test video and can't find the quick recorded game. Not sure if I even did it right.

nomaaa, how does this work? I moved the virtual nes box/screen into the Twitch box area when I recorded, then after I hit stop, I couldn't find anything? Tips are needed here.

So I was able to load the Virtual NES into the stream, but then the quality was shit and I had difficulty managing the windows, but that can be solved. However, I may need to buy a new laptop with better hardware to run Twitch if I can't figure out the correct version and software. Well, I gotta drop a couple thousand for my trip home this fall, so although I can afford a new laptop, I don't like dropping all kinds of money at one time. I will spend the day trying to figure out this Twitch shit and see what software I can get to make the stream not skip and be a failure. If that fails, we are going back to YouTube videos where I record off my camera.

Be careful what you stream - the president just got banned from Twitch.

lol! I saw that yesterday!

Anyways, I downloaded the Streamlabs OBS software for Twitch. So there'll be a learning curve here with the help of YT instructional videos. nomaaa's help would save tons of time here. The software did crash once and figuring it out is a pain in the butt. I suspect my 5 year old laptop may not be able to handle this efficiently - takes a lot of time to load the software right now and then it freezes here and there.

But that is just one obstacle. I will do my best to see if the live stream can work with Twitch + streamlab on my old laptop. If the call means to go over to YT videos recorded off my Canon camera and then go the old school route, then that will be the call to get one or both leagues going. I'll give this test experiment 1 day before I make the official call.
