Shooty

You blocked ryno from getting a shitty second baseman and he had to pick one slightly more shitty?

ryno

I think he must have spied on me and darky.   My plan was to take sandberg last.

These shitty 2b are where championships are won and lost.

There is a significant drop after the guys I picked

Not really! I still have a couple of Empire ballers who fit into my system and Ryno wanted Sandberg and his 44 speed all along. I also had Sandberg on my radar until Ryno offered to loan me his vest for a night!

Tempo has done this before. Didn't he screw over Nacho 3 years ago when he wanted to see Nacho have Pedriq or something?

Tempo still has a Catcher left to draft and he has no bench players yet, so the laugh is on him by the time his picks come up again. Then again, maybe not since he's not taking this so dead serious and had some fun with his cock block picks!

Darky still gets the vest for reminding me how Hojo always plays above his ratings.  This too shall pass!

I'm surprised Sabherhagen wasn't taken earlier. Shooty got a steal there for his staff. Sabes can be deadly for 2 innings before he tires out. His K ratio in the nes rom is second to Scott. HR's given up - he's given up the least in about 200 innings that I have on file. Really surprised Nacho passed on him and went with Sutton who can give up HUGE innings.

Reuschel was a head scratcher as well. I don't know, I think stamina is overrated. I've seen quick innings happen with tired pitchers throwing puss although there can be huge innings of course.

The closers in this league, many of them, will be out of a job! I suspect the waiver wire ads will see a lot of processing.

I passed on Saberhagen - wanted Tiant. Tiant and Drysdale and Spahn with a nasty sidearm lefty throwing drops to close the deal...holy shit are we set.

I think I'm safe with catching.  None of them are alluring as pinch hitters, and since there are three that are very comparable, even if you and Ryno both spite draft a catcher to screw with me, I still have a decent third option.  My loss is really quite minimal here by taking those guys instead of a better OF/1B.  I can still get another PH that is comparable to one I would have got in this round since a lot of the remaining guys are pretty similar.  I think potentially downgrading slightly on two PH ABs per game (I say potentially because there's no guarantee that either of them will appear) was worth meddling with 2B options in the starting lineups for two of my opponents.

Shots fired!!!  Spite draft picks hurt team chemistry

Darky

Tempo is very incorrect!  8)  I'm still good with the options I have left, so no worries. The stats from past leagues tell me I'm still good! Ballsy move I'll admit since your bench may lose you a couple of games when you need the bench the most, and thus, maybe a playoff spot and a loss to the mighty Empire ... sucka!  ^-^

All I know is that Ryno's vest is on the way to Sweden!

I can't wait til someone takes a fifth pitcher to spite someone and put him as the 4th pinch hitter

Scrimmage with the Old Stylers.

Drysdale went all 6. Niekro got roughed up. Forgot to set the mercy at 15.

3 Jacks for Kingman! Sutclf looked solid. The Empire raced out to a quick and big lead, but the Beefy Masters reduced that lead rather quickly and then took the lead. The game went into extra innings. AdCock had a bad game, so that helped. Beef is going to score a fuckton of runs with his power.
