Hold on a second... Dusty Baker makes a racist comment (which honestly didnt really offend me at all, but i think he should be smarter than that) and you are willing to give him credit for "diverting attention"?? was latrell spreewell "diverting attention" from a losing season when he choked his coach??  defend Dusty if you want, but let's be honest here... a racist comment, no matter its indirect effect, should not be praised like this... on a similar note (not to stray too far from RBI) is keyshawn johnson's calling ronde barber an "uncle tom" the most ridiculous thing you've heard in awhile?? i mean, keyshawn really has no idea as to why ronde sided with management in his situation, and using the term uncle tom... geez, just seemed all too dumb from one of the biggest mouths in the NFL... and for any of you that read Bill Simmons, i was watching Around the Horn and heard a comment that would make his Unintentional Comedy Scale bell ring... i think it was Bill Plaschke, in reference to the keyshawn comment, says "Uncle Tom? C'mon Keyshawn, I haven't heard that phrase used in like 2 or 3 years"... 2 or 3 years Bill?  God knows race relations in our country were so totally different in 2002 than they are now...

Apparently, some people have forgotten just how god awful Ray "Mr. Lopez" Knight was as a manager. As a manager, he made a damned good third base coach. Actually, he sucked at that, too...
