This weekend I was staying ata hotel in Arizona, I had come down to the lobby to meet up with my Dad and a couple other guys, Chuck Norris was getting into a van to leave, my Dad was talking to him for awhile I had gotten there a little too late. It was Walker Texas Ranger himself. They were all excited about meeting him.

All I could think about was the triple asterick banishment the dee-nee crew had put on him.

thats quite a brush with fame... mine occurred the day before my wedding (sept 27) when i went to get my haircut at 9 am.  hoping that i would not have to wait in line, i was disappointed to find to names ahead of me.  as it turns out, one of those names was mickey and in the chair of my "stylist" is none other than mickey hatcher, angels hitting coach.  immediately, i think to myself, what the hell is mickey doing getting his haircut at fantastic sams.   anyways, i chatted with him briefly and wished him luck against the yankees.  little did i know that the team would go through the american league like a hot knife through butter.

I can definitely see Hatcher in a Fantastic Sam's.

My favorite memory of him is when he hit those two homers against the A's in the 1988 World Series and him running around the bases at full speed.  The announcers were commenting on how he had only hit one HR during the season and that he probably didn't know how to trot around the bases at a normal pace.

i dont care what anyone says, you've got to love mickey's enthusiasm.. i think it rubbed off on his hitters.    the angels coaching staff seemed to be relaxed throughout the postseason allowing the players to perform.

My only brush with a movie celeb comes via my roommate in college when he was hanging out in LA and ran over Lorenzo Llama's dog.  He said it was an ugly scene but it made for one hell of a story.

I've met a few famous people in my breif 19 year life. I've met and got pictures with Weeman (from Jackass), Jeremy Popoff (Lit's guitarist), the singer from Unwritten Law (not a huge fan so I don't know his name), Joel and Chris (from Good Charlotte), and Pierre and Jeff (from Simple Plan). I've also stayed the night and drank beer at The Pimps house (the guys that used to live in Dekalb, IL might know who I'm talking about. That's all I believe...
