UNBELIEVEABLE!!!!!!

Associated Press

SAN DIEGO -- Left-handed reliever Jesse Orosco, who turns 46 on April 21, agreed to a $800,000, one-year contract Tuesday with the San Diego Padres, who added him to their 40-man roster.

''I didn't think I'd be able to throw this long,'' said Orosco, who'll be entering his 24th big league season, spread over four decades. ''Things have worked out great and I'm going to get myself well-prepared to try to reach back and do this for another year or so.''

Orosco's agent, Alan Meersand, joked that he and Orosco's wife were going to push him to pitch until he's 50.

''I used to laugh about it five years ago, but now I'm starting to believe him,'' said Orosco, who's the oldest player in the majors and the all-time leader in games pitched at 1,187.

It's amazing to see someone who's never been that good play for so long.
You're going down, chainsaw.

This may be my very first post.  I admit it, I'm part of the original four and I didn't even know my password!  I suck!

Orosco is on our list for Top 5 ugliest baseball players (headed by Randy Johnson).  It may have something to do with age, but Jesse's up there.

True to the RBI spirit, Jesse has contributed to this league because he's able to get the tough lefty out.  Barry Bonds, Larry Walker, etc.  Same is true for RBI.  How do you prevent the lefty hit?  Put in Orosco to shut the opposition down!

Orosco may be the last RBI player to retire at this rate.

I heard that Orosco gets an additional $250,000 if he doesn't fall and break a hip during the season.  I'm pretty sure that most of his $800,000 salary is being covered by Social Security, too.  Thanks, Jesse....now there'll be nothing left for me when I'M old like you!!!
